So my man maths s124 purchase last year has come to bite me in the a$$. Found holes in each inner wing, driver and passenger footwell and back end. A real shame as engine, box and interior and mint, only 97k too with FSH.

Undecided on repairing it, or swapping a few bits out with my blue car and moving it on as a spares and repairs car. Gonna take a hit one way or the other though.

Be careful out there bargers....
This depends if you know someone who can weld, stripping the carpets out to do the footwells and getting it ready to weld can cut the costs a fair bit i'd have it done

Funny how a pretty st Rover garnered so many comments, despite being a very long way from true barge-dom and being a poor example of its breed.

Not me. I want yours - a car that's had all the work done and is then sold at a loss. It's the way I roll.

What's going on with those draught deflectors at the top of the windows? No way did a German car designer have those in mind.

The last year or two I see them everywhere, and they look absolutely rubbish. Often the same cars that have foolish tints and a rash of aftermarket badges.

Very grey, but looks incredibly clean and a bargain too.
That is surely a huge bargain? Looks fantastic. E39 above also nice.

The SL in Glasgow is my old car! The advert is a work of fiction!! In fact, it is utter bks. If anyone is thinking of looking at it, get in touch and I will give you the true details. Oh, it looks far better in the photos than it does in the flesh.
Yep, spoke to the vendor very briefly, sounds like he was playing "how not to be a convincing care dealer bingo" and he scored maximum points within seconds.

Thanks to this thread, am in the market for an R129 and have a suspect car in sight for viewing in the morning. Above thread maximum but will post if all goes to plan.

Long time lurker on what is Pistonhead's best thread.

Except...he or she has managed to get the spokes of the wheels to synchronise, so I'd say that's quite commendable parking.

It may have taken two bottles of white wine and a bottle and a half of red but I have finally convinced the wife that leasing a new car and sticking a £6k liability on my credit file for a new car is a waste of cash with nothing to show for it.

Don’t ask me how she looks it up but I’ve got her to settle on spending my go to value of not too st to be a shed/ not too pristine to be abused value of £4K of cold hard cash.

I am not in natural barge territory here as the wife likes to be jacked up but dislikes xc90’s.

Anyone know anything about Muranos by the way?

What else could I suggest outside of a frankly irresponsible 4.6 i.s?

Cheers .D

Not quite.
The front wheel valve is at 4 o'clock.
The rear wheel valve is at 8 o'clock.

Well then, that's perfect symmetry!

That e39 looks great but at those miles I'm not sure how keen I'd be with only 'gearbox is strong' to go on.
