I don't know why we keep posting this wazzock's adverts. Amusement perhaps, but seriously, he's a throbber of the highest order and should be ignored.

He's the antithesis of Maison du Palmier.
Speaking of La Maison...Some of the pictures suggest that it was at least sprung from the spring at some point? Not sure if it's actually Monsieur du Palmier himself selling it now though?

I've just spotted this this morning...It's 'only' a 520i (but they are actually not as bad as the badge would suggest) and there's no denying that this does look a beauty:

Top of budget though?

I'm glad that attracted some comment. I read it on my phone whilst enduring an outlet village with Madame and it raised my spirits the way only a playground euphemism can.
Probably due to being a non-native english speaker, I failed to understand the comments frown

..." whilst enduring an outlet village with Madame"...
Please tell me this is a euphemism? Sounds like phun. In this corner of the country 'outlet village' is known by the term 'Ashford', but to suggest partaking of 'Ashford' with my other half would probably elicit a sharp response and no dinner.

In barge news my faithful £400 Volvo is nearing it's first anniversary, wearing many new or refurbed brake components, awaiting another a/c re-gas (£45!) and still costing buttons compared to (a better and newer) shiny lease car.

The Camry that is #1 son's pride and joy also passed it's first year without any blemishes on the record, and continues to be a waft-o-matic method of transport that remains almost 100% anonymous. Even in metallic dark red.

As you were.

Anyone remember the seller name for le maison? I'm sure we can find how much that was.

ETA: I bet it was this one:

As eny fule no, proper engines are only supplied in rows of 6-cylinders. Anything else is for yobs or Americans.
Hmm, I’m only 1/3 suitable. I guess the v8 has to be American by default, which makes the M6 a yobs car.

You’d think that an average of 10 cylinders & 5.33 litres would bring me some boasting point entitlement, but it appears I am mainly a yobbish ‘murican.

Oh well. Howdy Y’all.

You're very well endowed in the suck-squeeze-bang-blow department, no question, so by all means get boasting with abandon.

Beware though! Boasting is also reserved for yobs and Americans. smile

It's a bloody minefield, this.

Yes, I too had to look long and hard for the engine size and when one has to look hard for something one knows it's going to....small!

When another £2k gets you into a 55K engined Mercedes Spitfire beast I'm not sure I could choose the BMW.

Silver Ghost was a straight 6, so we're on the same page there at least, and the famous R-R&B V8 wasn't designed until long after his death.

And so, in conclusion, I'm claiming Sir Henry Royce as a fully paid-up Speckolyte.

What? Saysummin!?

Sounds like something you’d find near the bottom of the Marianas Trench.

It’s got too many c’s in it, that’s for certain.

Next you’ll be extolling the virtues of LPG... oh.

*I am allowed to do this as an honorary american yob (are Rednecks yobs? I prefer a southern accent, it’s just purty)

Dave the seller has made a valiant attempt at 'collecting the set'. Regrettably however, he's missed a couple of seller's cliches which detract from his overall score, despite the innovative and impressive attempt at a regain with the hoary old 'lost the service history' line. The offer of investment advice is another plus, but the lack of a council estate background suggests to me that he just hasn't tried hard enough. There isn't even a dangly air freshener for goodness sake. Poor show.

Tremendous purchase, other than the slightly eye-popping wood that's a great colour combo.

Happy barging! Will there be a stable departure?
