I think its a Face Lift, rather than Pre Facelift.

Makes complete sense thanks. I thought it might be to do with DHL wheels or whatever the beards talk about with lexi!

The threads gone LS mad.

I bought a facelift 430 over a week ago.

Haven’t posted as I blew the thread budget to find the best one I could after months of looking.

That looks like a cracker CDG

When did the LS430 get facelifted?

My uncle has a silver LS430 which cost him 5k or so. Many of my family thought it was a 15k car at a recent gathering.

I really want one now.

cool (sorry, picked from an Audi A8 forum)

I think FL came in 2005/6 ish - sleeker headlights were the primary benefit (IMHO)

Loving the 430, CdG. Great colour. In that it actually is, you know... a colour.

Pics and info anyway...? I'd be interested to see what you got. A purchase is a purchase biggrin

The Camry that is #1 son's pride and joy also passed it's first year without any blemishes on the record, and continues to be a waft-o-matic method of transport that remains almost 100% anonymous. Even in metallic dark red.

As you were.
I’d quite like a mid-noughties Camry to painlessly smoke around in, and would hazard a guess that I’m the one and only theadist that does.

Would it be sacrilege (and mechanically/electrically feasible) to convert an E34 from manual to auto?

I'm joining the club; delivery is tomorrow and I'm rather excited about it. Specsavers appointment booked for the afternoon!
Tremendous purchase, other than the slightly eye-popping wood that's a great colour combo.

Happy barging! Will there be a stable departure?
I like absolutely everything about that. Nice one! smile
+1 love it! Congrats!

That’s a wise purchase. To have spotted that car at that garage - surely one of the buys of the thread.

Just catching up after a (long) day trip yesterday to Stuttgart and the MB Museum. CdeG, I didn’t link the two sentences in your post until it was later quoted - congrats, it looks very nice and those colours (perhaps after yesterday’s outing I’m biased) give it a firm MB vibe.

Totally off thread, but having spent some time looking at MB All Stars stock on display yesterday, and accepting those cars come with great warranties (although are certainly not “as new”) the routine fodder on this thread (+/- a few % on budget) certainly look like stunning value, particularly if you wish to drive the things.

That looks like a cracking buy CdG!

I'm in talks over ordering a new car. Yes, a new car. I can't believe I'm uttering the words, but family pressure says I can snot around in a comfy thread budget heap but they want white goods.

If we do buy this kodiaq they're on about, I'll probably flog the S211 and inherit the wife's W169 a-class (which is probably worth < £5k but not really a barge) and use that to carry my road bike about on my half drive/half bike commute. It is unusually big inside due to the weird all-running gear under floor architecture, I tried the bike once and it did go in. Will feel weird not to be a proper threadist and I've not done it yet, there's still time.

If that's what it's for, flog both Mercedes and get something outrageously scruffy, down-at-heel and interesting.

I've a little thing for a Bertie Basic Jeep Cherokee (boxy one) at the moment, and I'm surprised at how few there are, and how not-bargain-basement-any-more they've become.

Grand Cherokee are still cheap as chips, but less charming. If a cooking Cherokee is good enough for the Fratellis, it's good enough for me.
