Why an Agera RS and not a Regera or a one:1?
I wondered this, and now I'm curious about something...The Agera RS, as standard, produces 1160hp. The One:1 produces 1360 hp.
But the RS is available with a 1360hp 'option'.. I'm curious of the spec of the car in this video now, because if it was 'only' the 1160hp version, I think it's safe to say that extra 200hp, in either car, could beat the record again by a margin..
ETA: according to the Koenigsegg article, this did have the 1360hp option.
Still, will be interesting to see what the Regera can do!

Hey guys...
why is nobody mentioning that they pulled this stunt in a 671m shorter distance?
That's what really blows my mind
Why? Assuming similar rolling radius of the wheels/tyres on both cars, it would stand to reason that less time = shorter distance.why is nobody mentioning that they pulled this stunt in a 671m shorter distance?

Cars running at almost 250mph can cover a lot of distance in 6 seconds - and that's assuming that the entire 6 second difference is made up during the acceleration phase. It could be even long if the braking phase was not as short as the Bugatti.
That's exactly my point.
I don't know where you live but 671m is a not insignificant difference even here in the wide open spaces of Canada.
The difference between the two is greater than the length of the straight on most race tracks. When was the last time you saw a record broken by 20% in distance and 13% in time? That's madness. And the same year no less.

I think Koenigsegg's point is that they've been doing this for years but have never sought such simple publicity. When Bugatti started crowing and strutting around they decided to set the record straight...Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
