I have endeavoured to be one of the cool kids and refrain from washing. However, I just don't have the self control and always capitulate well before the number plates become 'gatso-friendly'

Sadly my car probably qualifies for this thread however I have seen it in a worse state.

I'll find out how to post pictures and get one up later

How's this? Ice rather than dirt, but it was pretty minging once the ice had melted.

Not been driving or doing much for the last wee while as I recover from a hernia op, so this is 2 1/2 weeks of the missus commuting plus a 260 mile round trip down to Edinburgh to see her mum and back, and this is what came home.

Lovely covering of grit/muck and salt!!

Cheating.

Going to a forest rally in November is bound to get your car mucky.

Nope, can't do it.

Washed by hand once a week generally, once every two weeks max.
Rather you than me, I just don't see the point, with the mileage I do it's just going to get filthy again within days and I've better things to waste my time on.
I've owned my car for 14 months now, I had the local Polish place wash it in May, that's the only time in 27k miles and I've no immediate plans to change that.

After a couple of thousand miles. The brake pad dust likes to stick to the front alloys on the renegade more than any other car i have owned.

They are a good looking car I think... such a shame they don't do a c200bhp engine, I'd have one in a heartbeat if they did!

You never know they may do a trackhawk special one day!

I think that we've reached the Quentin Crisp state of not really getting any dirtier with the XC 70, last washed in August smile

Funnily enough, I went for a sneaky Google after I posted this and they do indeed do a special with 178bhp and all the toys.
It's a little new for my budget right now but will definitely be top of the list the next time I change daily
