I saw this in the news - thankfully no one injured, and hopefully will be rebuilt. Are there many in this colour? I've only see one up close, parked in Hove, and I'm fairly sure it was the same shade of blue. I was surprised at how compact it was, and how well proportioned compared to the impression I'd had from photos.

If it was in convoy with other super cars what does it really matter? Why do they need witnesses, what could they possibly prove?

Nobody was injured, the car is insured - job done

Depends what the witnesses say.

And they're not going to have an axe to grind against a "rich person" in a pagani, a chance for a one up....

The damage is hardly bad on it, surely no injuries it's just a let the insurance pick up the tab job.

I expect none of the cars with it saw anything. A PS 760 by the looks of it. Hmmm.

If there is no evidence to support any offences then yes.
If there are witnessed alleging offences then they'd probably investigate further.

Yeah it will be the same one you saw in Hove.

Peter Saywell's personal car, lives very local.

Would you say the same thing if this was, for arguments sake, a Corsa VXR adorned with whatever the latest ‘scene’ mods are?

Exactly the same stance

IMO they're just fishing for an excuse to charge the bloke (or woman) with something

Of course they are. Everyone must have a bad motive.

Any witnesses wants to 'one up' a rich person and the the police want to 'fish for an excuse' - because that's how evidence and the courts work...

Cannot believe this is a major news item on the BBC home page.

Earlier this morning a lady on the local news channel was saying how she'd done something similar a while back. Lost the back end on a damp roundabout in the same spot. It wasn't newsworthy then as she was in a BMW 3 Series apparently.

The effect on the wealthy owner of this Pagani will be exactly the same. It's not a news item.

Is this really 'news'. Amazing.
