Something odd here! POPLA upheld the penalty, yet the parking company then waived it?!!! Does not compute!

A familiar gripe, re-ignited by the frequent snow showers we are currently having - motorists who think of the lights on their vehicle solely in terms of their ability to see.

All the idiotic / moronic parents pulling their kids along on sleds, but doing it in the fking road rather than using the 2 pavements available on either side of the road banghead

Not just being done on small residential roads but also seen on the main 30 & 40mph limit roads heading into town too banghead

In addition to this, all the idiots / morons taking selfies and / or Skyping / FaceTiming the snow - whilst standing in roads, blocking pavements, etc.
Same again today - although this time made better by one stupid woman near where I live actually shouting at drivers to "fking slow down" calling them rude names, etc, all because she & her friends were dragging their kids along in the road where people are driving.

The pavements were still pretty well snow covered, so the kids could easily have been pulled along there instead, but no, far better to use the road banghead

TBH I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are doing it deliberately in the hope of being clipped by a car so they can claim com-pen-say-shun (deliberately sic) rolleyes

The person in charge of the tannoy announcements at Euston.

When trains are being cancelled left right and centre it really would help if the announcer was able to talk loudly and clearly so that everybody knew what TF was going on

In the wake of people helping one another those who thought they could make a few quid offering to tow people for £10-50 on Facebook and other anti-social media platforms.

I hope they all had adequate public liability and recovery business use insurance.

The f'ing annoying thing is they could just put an electronic noticeboard at the front and put the information on there. In fact they've already got a massive TV on there. It must be the easiest thing in the world just to convert it into an electronic signboard.

Retired MC's from the UK Garage music scene (at least that's how I read it).

Pretty much everyone at my workplace who were losing their st and behaving like the fking world was going to end just because we had a couple of inches of snow in Hertfordshire.

How the fk would they cope if they'd been further north where it properly snowed? shoot

They wouldn't have made it in, and you'd have had peace and quiet?

This.

I was one of 14 people who made it into work every day last week - out of 300.

It was bliss.

I worked from home in case the kids got sent home from school and got more done in a day than I would normally do in a week, what with the peace and no meetings, phone calls, etc.

I found it so productive I'm tempted to do regularly.

I didn't however lose my st and panic. I mainly enjoyed having no commute. We also got hit quite hard with drifts and BMWs binning themselves, blocking roads. (North Essex)

People who don't accelerate on slip roads. Was behind a Civic who was going on a slip road at 35, badly merged onto dual carriageway and then accelerated. Driver also had just DRL on in heavy rain, clearly an utter idiot.

Unfortunately, I can't work from home or I probably would do it as much as possible. I was on the night shift last week. Very productive week for me!

'Off' slips can be just as bad.

Yesterday morning, a woman driving a big Audi estate came to a complete stop at the top of this one... https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.3126298,-0.74926... ...coming off the A331 onto the A325.

Worst of all was she was at almost 90° to the dual carriageway she was joining, rather than following the lane she was in, which clearly continues. Cars behind her not expecting to have to stop were jamming on the brakes and tooting at her.

I've seen the same at the other end of this "extra" lane too. There's a roundabout, but this left-most lane doesn't join the roundabout, it has a "no need for stopping" route of it's own, 'protected' by a solid white line. Again, though, people frequently stop to give way to traffic on the roundabout, and more than once someone not expecting that has nudged the driver who stopped and caused chaos while they remain in place to exchange details and argue about who's to blame.

yes This pisses me off hugely. Every day I join the A38 on a reasonably long uphill slip road that has two lanes, and yet a huge number of people will manoeuvre themselves into the outside lane and then crawl up to the merge point mad
