I bought the ECOTY issue as a bit of light reading over Christmas. First issue I've bought in a 3yrs or so having been a long term subscriber. It did feel like a bit of a return to form but I wasn't blown away (perhaps there's only so many car mags one can read?!).

I'll take a look at the latest issue as it seems well received here.

I decided some time ago that the Dream Drives was a good idea initially but had exhausted its natural lifespan, and then I read the current one and loved it. What a great piece of writing.

I've not read the latest one, but I look forward to it.

It's just great to see Henry back, now all we need is Harry and Jethro to contribute more and it'd be like old times.

Though I do note the subscribers price is going up.

Liking it a bit more recently, specially this months. Subscription is safe for now.

Anyone know where (in Wales) the Golf GTI TCR article was shot?

No idea about the location, but I agree, I've also enjoyed the last couple of issues.

It looks like the Black Mountain road - A4069.

Yep, 100% that road. Popular with good reason!

Having been a long term Evo reader, I gave Practical Classics a try and the poor grammar and attention to detail wound me up so I've reverted back to Evo which has been getting better in recent months.

A favour from any subscribers, has this month’s copy turned up?

Been enjoying it more of late, seemingly they took the feedback to heart. Let’s hope ECOTY’s a belter.

Cheers

Cheers for that. Was due last Thursday, they’re always good at advising if it’s running late, & I’ve had the odd post go missing.....

Plus can’t as yet get a response from their subs department.

Haven't had mine either.

It stated in the editorial at the front of last months magazine that the next edition would be on sale on Wednesday 9th October, so not late yet, just that it has usually turned up by now.

Would be nice if they did away with the plastic wrapper. But guess it’s not quite as simple as that.
