A mates confirmed his was in a white envelope too, with an economics mag. Seems this might possibly have been the cause of the delay.

Meanwhile I'm buying up old copies of Performance Car Mag for a nostalgia hit. I never read it the first time round so quite enjoying it.

That magazine has never been bettered for me. I absolutely loved reading it and I was gutted when it died out. I even enjoyed it when it was brought back(of sorts) years later, but sadly it didn't last very long.

Even though some of the writers switched across from Performance Car to EVO magazine it was never quite as good(for me). I've stuck with EVO from the start though in fairness.

It’s also interesting to see how the magazine/writing changed as it evolved from “Hot Car”, sort of went a bit upmarket in the late 80s, then turned a bit Max Power-ish in the mid 90s .......and then died in 98

Bloody love that podcast, it's brilliant!

Feels a bit like going to the pub with some mates to chat about cars, or at least understanding more about writers that i grew up reading.

I really miss "Ask Goodwin". Chris briefly lived in my village many years ago.

Yeah, mine turned up yesterday as well, white paper package, no damage to mag per others though. And "Moneyweek" mag too.

Just done my usual initial "back-to-front" flick through, and looks a really good edition. Not been too impressed with any of my mags recently (incl Evo), but this looks like a good read biggrin

So given I asked you guys if you'd got yours (thanks for all the replies) I can confirm mine turned up yesterday too.

The white envelope was a little torn but great to see they're moving to a more environmentally friendly version. Can't deny after 15 odd years of subscription not seeing that grey wrapper will take a little getting use to, but good on them for the move.

I thought issue 266 was weak, 267 was amazing. This morning 268 dropped through the letterbox and it's the k'ching issue. A 30 page advertorial on the Hyundai N models, whoever sold that is going to have a good Christmas. The Hyundai section is properly delineated, so there is no problem with editorial being compromised. And I imagine the gift guide is paid-for content too. Flicking through it doesn't seem as good as 267 but then you don't get to drive an F1 car at Spa every issue.
