I like those FE versions, but shame to see the end of the scooby. Given IM’s “efforts” over the years I’m amazed they were ever able to build half the following they did.
Good to see JSF on here.
Hi John, (Fat Boy here!) I had your baffled sump on my P1 in both it’s 2.0 (450Bhp) and 2.1 (500Bhp) guises, but I’m now running an updated version of it on my current 2.35/GT 35r billet motor (566bhp/ 520ftlb). This is still in the sort of original P1.
Going back to the MPG discussion- I can get over 20mpg on a cruise, but it’s deep into single figures pressing on or on track .
Good to see that you still have the black bomber.

Hi FB, been a while since i did the sumps.
IM were an odd company, that's for sure, without the enthusiast market from the rally program they would still be a relatively unknown farmers car in the UK. The way they treated the grey market owners in the early days was odd, rather than try and use these enthusiasts to build the brand they made life difficult.
It must have been frustrating for them when the enthusiast grey imports took the quota over the limit for their own imports, which led to the 22B Type UK having to be held back a year before they could be sold, hence they have MY99 headlights rather than all the other 22B's with MY98 spec. At least we proved the market wanted the cooking models which led to the P1.
The new car looks a decent spec, good to see them selling well.

I have to wonder, all the knowledge you have of Subaru, do you work around them? Don;t think I've seen this much knowledge outside of the tuners like RCM and ScoobyClinic.
