RE: Corvette ZR-1 - official!
Discussion
We've had particularly harsh critiques in this thread from self-styled automotive purists.
One, in his PH profile, says he's a student. Fair enough. But dollars-to-doughnuts (as they say in Corvette Land) a strident argument looks a bit preposterous in a vacuum. Help us out... Add your car to your PH profile.
The other individual, somewhat impressively, is located on Hill 3234 in Afghanistan. It's inspiring to learn that motoring is taking off in the fledgling Muslim republic (although he, too, includes no car in his profile).
Hill 3234 was a notable location for the Soviet Union in the 1980s. So perhaps our fellow PHer is Russian. His syntax would support this. As would his let-the-peasants-starve approach to market segmentation.

the ACR viper is a great track car but absolutely nuts for UK roads, it's sooo stiff
A bloke in my campsite at Le Mans this year had an ACR. He fired it up and let my boy rev the engine (top man!)The look on my son’s face when the thing bellowed louder than any of the race cars was priceless.
If this Corvette sounds half as good it’ll be worth every penny.
I saw it in flesh at the Dubai Motor Show yesterday. Absolutely stunning piece of kit!
My girlfriend liked the color
Comparing it to some other cars at the show, it looks a bit ordinary and not as vulgar as you might think.
I had a nice chat with the CEO of Aston Martin Middle East, he explained to me many details about the Valkyrie and how it's like to work with Adrian, when we walked around it. I didn't expected to see the car at this exhibition in the flesh.
They sold already some on the first day of the show. The AMG Project One didn't had the same attention on it's stand.
What I like about the show here, is that you pay a fraction of the ticket price compared to Europe or China, you can sit in every car, except a concept car. Yes, even in a Valkyrie! And it's far, far less crowded then anywhere else, also you see cars that you won't see anywhere else.
