rs6 is a great car - enjoy mine.

although don't think they are taking new orders any more due to new c8 model coming out of the A6 next year. You should still get a lightly used RS6.

I'm not sure it's a mid-life crisis if you plan it out in advance smile

Awesome car, if you can afford to enjoy one, go for it. Life is short, crisis or not, take the opportunity.

May be biased as I lost a friend this week to the big C, just 50 yrs old. You never know what's around the corner....

Enjoy it bud! biggrin

Are you sure you want to run an RS6 as a company car? 37% BiK, so £500 a month just on tax as as a 20% tax payer, or £1000 a month at higher rate.

Do it. I get a car allowance which I have chosen to spend on finance payments on a Maserati Gran Turismo. Next year sometime it'll be legally mine.

Don't do it.

Take a car allowance and run it yourself by all means, but do not have it as a car the company provides.
It's the tax equivalent of bending over in the middle of a Mexican prison and asking if anyone wants a go on you.

This is my favourite thread ever smile

I bought a 'van' for tax reasons so there's no way I'd go down the RS6 route as a company car. Could you not find a used example and finance it personally cheaper? The tax contributions are crazy!

If anybody finds a relatively cost effective solution, then I'm in!!

I looked at what would happen if I put the M3 through the company. The BIK was about the same as the monthlies, plus the monthlies. No thanks!!

OP, do the sums on both ways of running an RS6.

Don't forget to buy some brown corduroys and start growing a beard.
And for the car, yes go for it.

Good luck getting a positive response! laugh

Would seriously love to hear about it if you can get the company car route to make any financial sense
