Personally I think this new car is a real step forward from the old Vantage, it's visually upto date, it's still a very credible alternative to offerings from Audi, Mercedes and Porsche as an every-day sports car, and is an aspirational step-up from the Jaguar F type and even the new TVR Griffith (eventually).

It's an exciting car and I'd love to have one thumbup

First time I've seen a picture of white - looks really nice!
Have a look at this video of a white one, sounds pretty good too! Metallic pure white in the sunshine would look amazing, i dont think plain white would bring out the curves/creases enough esp on the bonnet. I think id go for white or a light blue with silver flip thumbup

The answer to a question no-one has asked...
But it's a detail.

Like the Aston Martin script on the boot... another naff detail that simply copies Porsche and Ferrari.
The gaping overbite frog mouth is a bigger problem for me, all the more because the rest of it is really quite gorgeous.
That and it's not an NA Aston powerplant.
Young uns want fresh new stuff for fresh new-stuffs' sake though....so it's not I car I want.

I'd be happier if when I saw one I still lusted after it though...like a DBS....
Writing your name on your cars is quite an old idea...

As an existing Vantage owner I have thought long and hard about this.
I have decided I don't like the new looks.
I am reminded of the gorgeous and understated super model that has tried to hold on to her good looks by over applying Botox and Fillers
I'm an Aston Fan but II won't be buying one
On the upside the new Le Mans car looks the part.

Nah skipped the process entirely!

Im guessing thats why it has ASTON MARTIN written all over it now.

Don't like the styling - all those grilles and vents are fine on a Japanese drifter's blinged-up Q car, but this is nowhere near as elegant as the old Vantage. It's not beautiful, and an Aston needs to be beautiful, not bling. It's a road car not a track car. I think this has been designed with footballers in mind. Irrespective of the improved performance and handling, I'd far rather own the old Vantage. This is not pretty, and for £120k I want a beautiful piece of automotive art, not a spammed-up street racer. I'm really disappointed with the new design.

...versus...

...spot the difference?

I sold my Vantage a few months ago, but I certainly won't be replacing it with the new one. For £120k, I'd sooner get a decent second hand Vanquish. At least that would have the classic Aston Martin style & elegance. The new Vantage can't be accused of being "elegant", and it doesn't even look like an Aston... they've thrown away a lot of the familiar styling cues, especially the grille... which is probably why they've had to write "ASTON MARTIN" in big letters on the back of the car, just in case it gets mistaken for a Mazda.

Definitely suits the darker colours for the front. That lime green effort above is grim!

I was hopeful with time this might grow on me a little. It hasn't. If anything I am thinking its even more gopping than I first thought,

Yep, piece of cake, but that comes from years of enthusiasm for cars, understanding what having a roof does to a design, also the difference in size etc, and on top of that having functioning eyes.
The new Vantage may not have the svelte style of the original, it may well be a bit blunt in it's agression.... but come on...there's not need to reduce the topic to this level of ridiculousness...

Popped out to lunch, could've sworn I'd just seen the new Vantage driving down the high street but looking at the 2 pics... I just don't know.
Come to think of it, it didn't sound anything like an Aston. Damn, I see now.... it was an MX5 wink

How do you know it wasn’t a Range Rover though? They are practically the same.

OMG!!! Now you mentioned it... doh! You could be right. Oh I don’t know... I thought I could spot the differences but now we’re talking about 3 cars that are nye on impossible to tell apart!

OT, but that is a lovely badge/emblem. 50's American stuff had real style imo.

Centre console reminds me of one of those cheap, over-styled mini hi-fi systems from about 15 years ago.

On the outside it looks like they're trying to put the aftermarket drug dealer wheel trade out of business.
