RE: Aston Martin Vantage: Lift off
Discussion
Outside a cautious I like it (the front end and the mirror "arms" are just a bit long for me).
Inside is where I have issues there is way way to much Merc influence in the infotainment area. The seats could be a little less tacky, but that is personal choice.
A much better and cohesive design effort than the DB11, which I still think looks awkward.

That does look ok...but doesn't that take about 15% of the airflow away? That's a lot of surface area to lose. Mind you, I'm sure the engineers are ok with that and I am simply flapping my gums. Still a great looking thing.Looks great, like an Aston Vulcan had a baby with the old Vantage

Yeah, I noticed that too...Like many others, I don't have the means to buy one, but overall I like that they've given it a style of its own rather than looking like a shrunken DB11. And each of those cars has lines that befit its purpose; the muscular intent of the Vantage, versus the elegance of the DB11.
The interior is not the prettiest though. Can someone please tell car makers that having an iPad sticking out from the top of the dashboard is deeply unattractive, and that flat-bottomed steering wheels are unnecessary? As soon as you turn them past a few degrees they become round-bottomed anyway!

Do you seriously think we don't thermally assess without the number plate considered?spikyone said:
Exactly my immediate reaction to the front end, which I find pretty disappointing (although not as bad as the new Griffith). The rest is great though, including the interior. Makes sense to have gone in a more 'sporty' direction, although I'd go with a less garish colour scheme.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
