Carbon vs Aluminium vs steel (?)

Body or chassis? As I understand it, looking at the obvious competition:

Alpine: Aluminium monocoque and body panels.
Alfa: CFRP tub, GRP body.
Porsche: Steel monocoque and body panels.
Elise/Exige: Aluminium tub; GRP body.
