I wouldn't worry about it for now.

If it happens again then maybe.

So in this scenario the OP has no reason to get the keeper details and you're suggesting he lies to get them?

What if the bloke made a genuine mistake and left due to someone taking pictures of him, or thought it was someone he knew, realised it wasn't and left?

What's the OP going to do, go round there and warn him off, dominate his stairs?
the op asked the question what he does with it is up to him, but if it was my girlfriend i would want to know the information, maybe if it was your boyfriend/girlfriend you might too.

You can resolve issues without being all internet hardmen you read on here you know.
What issue needs resolving though?

Whilst it's right to keep an eye on things I think getting someone's name and address in these circumstances is over the top.

No; a newish Ford Kuga. So not sure car theft was the aim.
My local rag reported a woman being carjacked for a Juke yesterday, so entirely possible.
Wow. What kind of drugs do you have to be on to think jacking a puke is a good idea?

Parts easy to sell on (simply due to supply).
No fancy security.
Not likely to be owned bt a caring owner so no trackers etc.

I'm not being melodramatic. I have my feet up and I'm sipping on a nice cup of tea. All is calm.

But I wondered if there are any clever ways to build a picture on someone / find out what area they live, etc - bar the MOT history check trick.
I find that I spill the tea if I try to type at the same time.

How do you manage?

Why not start a post on social media? Warning people in the area that this guy is following random women on their own? Then share it with local people, if it's anyone local then it will soon come to light

Dvla request is just a waste of time, if the cars on lease then it will just come back at the car manufacturer - plus as stated by other people what you going to do? Go round and visit them?

She needs to ring 101 about this incident;

Someone following a lone female in their car all the way back to their own house in their car is 999 st there and then - it's a tactic used by murderers, rapists, thieves, stalkers and kidnappers. Those saying it's nothing put to consider what there reaction would be if their wife/girlfriend drove up to their street with an unknown car tailing them and the driver getting out and abducting your wife before she can get through your door? That could easily have hapenned to this las if the guy hadn't sped off.

This was a genuinely shady incident. It was through odd streets and finished down a private dead end road / no through road. Only when the cameras were pointed out to him did he speed off.

The police were notified straight away.

But from experience; the police do nothing. If they do track him down, he'll just say he took a wrong turn.

She doing the dirty? All hours home, aftershave on her underwear, suddenly shaving her legs etc.. Could be a private eye.

And what would you like the police to do?

Check their databases to see if the vehicle or its users have previously come to the adverse attention of the police and create a record of the incident, so that it can be linked to any past or future suspicious activity involving that vehicle?
