That's cheap, knowing how much BMW charge for a windscreen I was expecting 2 grand minimum.
Windscreen for mine was about £750 ish, fitting cannot remember but I got Paul @ Glasstec to do it as simply do not trust AG etc.Mirror Glass is seriously pricey though - £310 just for one piece of glass (the same glass is used on the E60/61/63/64,F01, F06,F10,F11,F12,F13)

I've always thought it's a little bit of spot the difference with pre lci and post lci with these, the headlights are very similar on both and there were hardly any changes overall.
Agreed -Headlights change design, one slat removed from the grill (down to 9), the SE got some slight changes on the bumper, Exhaust tips got 10 mm bigger on the 640i and 640D (650 has the rectangle ones), inside the idrive screen changed to be more glossy and possibly a few other bits, but you really need to look hard to see the changes (although at least they changed to LED only headlights and the adaptive became cheap to do unlike the pre LCI with Xenon standard and the LED's being seriously pricey (£2k+).

I do see your point but the standard xenon headlights that are present on the car in the article are the ones that look more dated when compared to the ones with ledsWhen it comes to big BMWs the old 850csi will always have a place in my heart

I do agree there, but there does at least in the pre LCI cars some issues with the LED lights and modules failing (more so in Adaptive mode). Not much of a problem in itself, just buy a replacement LED module. Which is something you cannot do, BMW's only solution is a bloody new headlight at £2k a side. Had my 640d for 6 months and cant fault it.
I previously had a F10 535d (LCI) and thought that as they had the same engine and underpinnings it would drive similar. It feels completely different - the lower CoG makes it feel more chuck-able. The exhaust sounds much more sporty - some mentioned synthesized engine note which may explain it. At high speed it moves around a little more than the 5. Interior is streets ahead with the full leather dash, mine has a pan roof which i think makes the car, shame it only tilts not slide.
Looks wise i'm not sure of any 4 door saloon that beats it, long, low and sleek. Old Panamreras looks were was challenging, new Panamera looks like an Audi A5/A7. Aston looks good to me but running cost are prohibitive but are falling in value.
Mine is diamond black with Ivory, previous 535 was carbon black, i vowed never to have carbon again as it looks great in the showroom but once on the road never looks clean and will always show swirl marks no matter how anal you are about washing

LCI has much better steering wheel
Steering wheel update was done around 2014 so is Pre-LCI. You will find that the idrive controller was updated (along with idrive) and the MFD were also available on the Pre LCI.smilo996 said:
Always really liked this car. Very sharp design and both elegant and aggressive as opposed to just aggressive like most of their designs. Seems like a complete bargain.
Great car, but not really a bargin, it's valued at £23,100 for a private sale.R400TVR said:
Speccing the ideal BMW should include an automatic gearbox? What has BMW, the World, and PH come to? Sad times!
You also forgot...weight around 1800kg and uncommunacative electric steering as well. Cars nowadays certainly don't include much driving enjoyment that's for sure, I also prefer the past to be fair. Patrick Bateman said:

Suits this car perfectly. Should be viewed as a big cruiser.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
