Rear finally looks good. Side proportions vastly improved, thanks to the RWD platform. But that front end, oh dear! Seriously not pretty. That would be a deal-breaker for me, were I ever likely to be in the market for such a thing (which I am not). Now, the DB11 is no looker either - why can't either of them get near the purity of the DB9?

I'm afraid, if I was going to be buying a 12-cylinder GT, new, today, it'd be an S65 AMG Coupé.

However, it wouldn't. I'd be off to the classifieds for a Bentley Brooklands for £100,000-£150,000 depending on condition, budget etc. That thing is absolutely everything a Bentley should be - massive, spacious, graceful, classy, timelessly elegant - and I can't understand why a 2-door Mulsanne-based replacement hasn't arrived.

I wonder if the 6.75 would fit in the Continental GT? Hmm...

All good fun.
Absolute balls of steel required to pick up one of these in 10 years time.

First Bentley since the Arnage that doesn't look hideous.

And the interior looks a comfy place to be; although personally I'd give the two tone leather a miss, those that don't should have their trust fund / oil fields / football contract / drug money confiscated.

And why do Bentley feel the need to have the exhausts the same size as the rear lights?

Agree with others that it makes the DB11 interior, with those weird-shaped vents etc, look decidedly low-rent.

Looks like a VW Arteon at the back. A Chrysler 300 at the front. And an Audi RS3 inside. Bit of a mishmash.

Ahm oot.

Not to keen.
Take out the round lights front and back and it would wear an Iinfiniti badge quite well.
Just doesn't look right to me.
Take off the Bentley badges and a non car person may not recognise it being a Bentley, whereas a Rolls is unmistakingly a Rolls badges or not.

It is a bit generic... but have you seen the new Phantom?! I'm not a fan of the old one, but its replacement makes it look really handsome! What a bloody awful mess...

It's high time both these great British brands were wrested out of the Germans' control and their actual manufacturing (and design) centred entirely in the UK.

And how long exactly do you think they will survive as small scall manufacturers without big partners?
One generation on the ice and two on the engine side?
Aston just signed a deal with MB for a reason
They obvioulsy could sign a deal with a large scale British manufacturer if there er was one....
Both were basket cases before they were taken over
I think RR did a better case of preserving britishness of the product whilst using lots of bmw parts

I think that's a better looking car than the last one.

I really like the front end, not sure about the rear lights, and I positively hate the ravioli leather on the seats.

Not sure about the balls of steel but if they go off a cliff edge depreciation wise like all of these cars do I'll be first in the queue. So much nicer looking than the last model.

Saw this car on the M6 last week - apologies to whichever scribbler was driving and had someone peering excitedly at the car from the outside lane. The car somehow looked like the styling was less well resolved but more Bentley than before. I liked it.

100% would have a DB11 over this.

DB11 is best part of 400kg lighter, and will wipe the floor with the GT dynamically. I know the DB11 looks are subjective, but to my eyes, and in the metal, it looks fabulous, wheras this just looks like a re-hash of the old one. That side profile does nothing for it, makes it look frumpy and rides too high.

The V8 of these will be the one to own, as it will help to bring that weight distribution back towards what it should be.
Having seen a DB11 in the metal it's still a lardy minger.

Everything about that car looks fantastic, apart from the seats. They've come straight out of xzibits workshop.

PH'ers, has any other car got a compass dial?

Front, yes, side profile, yes, interior, lovely (not in that colour), the rear (?!), it looks like an Audi and the lights are stupid.

Missed my chance for a run in one on sunday a.m. recovering from my wifes 60th party. Parked next door it is a very beautiful car ,better in the flesh than you could imagine.
Funny really I remember the original mule for the old model (a stretched A8) with the best engine noise ever.
