Why would kids trash the interior on a Urus ? I see Bentaygas dropping kids off at the local private schools and they dont look like they have mullered the interior ? my kids made a mess in our Galaxy but I used to hoover it and use a wet vac on the seats and it came up like new.

And guess what, a lot of wealthy people arent all that fussed, my father in law used to lash a blanket on the back seats of whatever Seven series he had at the time and let his excitable gun dog bounce around on it, invariably the blanket would end up in the footwell slobber, mud and claw marks on the leather, he used to knock the wheels, bounce trolleys off it and generally use and abuse it, then trade it in after 2 or 3 years and get a new one, the dealers would then clean or replace whatever was needed and sell it on.

The people who buy one will be wealthy and fancy one, because its a Lamborghini and because it is an SUV and they will use it for whatever people use SUVs for, guarantee will see loads round Cheshire.

Except this has issue has been addressed for years (better and an awful lot cheaper) with an RS4, or if you really need the space an RS6. Doubt anyone sensible will be putting kids in an Urus, they'd have the interior trashed in a couple of weeks. Or if you fancy something leftfield then this is only 2/3rds the price of a Urus, far more practical, 4WD, and if you had it without the stickers, and in a sensible colour, it's an awful lot cooler:

That is an awful lot cooler! A souped up van...? Seriously? You’ve said if a tall SUV hits you in your family mystery car it’ll destroy it. This van could do the same... Those same kids who do ruin interiors would ruin the interior of the van, an RS6 or anything else you feel you have to recommend.

rofl just saw this!! Hilarious if he thinks that's a genuine contender as a rival for this Urus.
Unbelievable eh... you can’t make this stuff up.
That’s why a small part of thinks, he can’t be serious. Really? Maybe he is. Or maybe, just maybe he’s having a laugh... I don’t think so though.
If he keeps this stuff up though then it’s entertainment wink
Got to be a wind up now, since one of his key moans was about being ‘selfish’ and blocking the view ahead for other road users etc.

Anybody can write they want on here, but your insider information is the biggest pile of dog st known to man. It makes zero sense, and being a German owned company, it is pretty clear they never deviate from the set business plan on car models.

Why not - the SUV folks on here seem to frequently justify their purchases with 'it's more practical than an estate car, and it's got 4x4'? Well this van also has 4x4 and is way, way more practical than an Urus for a fraction of the cost. It's also more exclusive too if that's what floats your boat.

Guess the only thing the Urus has going for it is that it looks more 'showy' and I guess that's why it appeals more to folks who want other folk to know they've earned (or borrowed) some money. If you're quietly confident in yourself though and don't feel the need to show off then the more subtle van would be perfect.

It’s a bright yellow, unecasssrily expensive van that really doesn’t do much to compete with an estate car or SUV. rofl

If you actually believed what you were spouting instead of it being bigoted claptrap then you would have promoted a white Transit anyway. wink

But what about your 'selfish choice' and 'blocking the view ahead for other road users' arguments?

Because as always with these players their superficial objections aren’t actually what they don’t like about certain cars. wink

As you say, nobody is going to be buying a Urus and putting the kids in the back.

They will be bought by playboys, look at me types. They won’t go off road, won’t have tow cars, won’t use isofix.

It’s a Lambo! Look at me look at me.

It’ll be green, yellow orange or Matt grey.

Practicality doesn’t figure.

It’s all about what people think. Not PH people, normal people.
People said the same thing about the Bentley SUV.....

Not all young children are oiks. Plenty of children manage to do absolutely no damage and are no issue to put in nice cars.

I’ve always fancied an Italian supercar and seeing as my mild issue with this car is that it seems a bit too German to be Italian I don’t think an Audi estate or a German van are going to tick the right boxes.

have you driven an RS6?
I haven't, but my wife would like one. I hear they're rocket ship fast, understeer like an oil tanker, and stiff as a brick. That about it?
And once you get used to the acceleration and beautiful exhaust note, they are actually quite dull to actually drive. I'd love Audi to make beautifully handling cars to compete with the Ms and AMGs.

Straying from topic again, but from personal experience of knowing a couple of people who have owned both the V10 and new versions of the RS6, neither of them have actually given a monkeys about the handling - so perhaps the customer base isn't as bothered as PH people.

They are bought as the ultimate 'top of the range' Audi estate A-to-B commuting car. And to that end they do the job wonderfully. My boss had the V10 and also got one of the very first in the UK of the current gen and he still has it (despite a number of other small fleet changes) as it just blitzes his morning commute along the A roads around here.

You had no real credibility before....now you're telling us a £100k 400bhp van (literally a van) is a better/cooler than a 650bhp Lamborghini? You been sucking on an exhaust pipe??

You are probably very right, and with AMG getting better and better as a drivers option, Audi have the market to themselves. Smart move perhaps.
