I saw one in the Brecons last night. Looked like PE in blue and being driven very spiritedly. Did try and turn around and catch up but I lost it frown

The RHD prototype is available for viewing at Renault West London this weekend. No test drives but I was still asked to sign my order form though....

Asked to or required to (or else)?

It wasn't entirely clear to me. I suspect they hadn't given this particular issue much thought.

Wonder if that was a press test?

Had a call a few days ago from my dealer to confirm order, which I’ve done, which means I get one of the first batch of 35 cars ...5 per dealer, delivery date end of July. Going to see the static car Thursday and been told demo cars arrive June,
Congrats. I reckon you're in for a whole lot of fun, and looking forward to hearing how you get on. What colour PE are you going for?
Cheers, gone for blue

Me too - interesting that according to the Manchester dealer a couple of customers changed to white after seeing the (white) display car.

They shouldn't be allowed to sell it in any colour other than Bleu! Although had there been a liquid yellow option I would have been torn.

The Alpine Blue is fantastic - a lot of depth and richness to it. Love how it accentuates the lines running to the front. Though I am a fan of the white too, and if I could get it sooner / a PE I wouldn't be fussy wink

But it really ought to have been French Racing Blue if you are into heritage (I'm not - the blue just suits me fine)

So saw the car today and finalised paperwork for order.

First time viewing one, so was surprised how small it looked. Does look stunnning though

White definitely isn’t for me, as I think you lose a lot of the detail in the bodywork, but each to their own .

Impressed by interior, seats were comfy, led dash was cool, central display has lots of screen options to keep the techies happy. Nice leather and aluminium mix, Exhaust sounded good too. Having to undo bolts to alter seat height isn’t great for those wanting to share drive with others though.

Missus stated she might want the car for herself now eek

So speaking to the Alpine rep who was present, all 130 PE cars need to be delivered for end of Aug. Non PE cars will start end of year. Waiting list for any ordering now is minimum 12 months

Roll on end of July

Was the rep Marco? Was good to have someone from Alpine in Manchester too, very knowledgeable about the roll out like you'd hope!

I definitely think that photos don't do it justice. Will look forward to hearing about your ownership experience whilst dealing with the long wait for a non-PE..!

That’s the fella. Very knowledgable of the car.

Yes must admit the car has a wow factor in the flesh.

Which dealer in West London is that? Quite fancy a look before dropping a deposit.

No fire engines. Or fire. But the car looks good.

Sadly it's not staying here for the weekend and is actually in Winchester for Monday and Glasgow later next week.

All orders have to be in for the end of the month to allow production to commence in June apparently. Deliveries in July and August.

No test drive but I don't think people will be disappointed with everything else. The quality is fine in my opinion. Car is very compact. Seats are superb. Focal speakers great. Engine sounds fine and I think is better than a 718. I took no pictures as the light was bad and everyone was swarming around it.

I think Alpine will allow you to order and then confirm after a test drive later in June. If you cancel after the test they think the car can be allocated easily given the waiting list.

Did anyone here head over to Renault Manchester to meet the team and have a look at one they had in for the afternoon?

I take it it's not there anymore? Would be nice to see one in the flesh.

Afraid not, is doing the rounds between all the different dealers I believe. I suspect the next opportunity in Manchester will be end June / early July when the two showroom cars arrive. It looks great in the flesh though...
