Did you select them on the app? There was an app update indicating that to progress the order it was now time to select a dealer to supply the car.
That seemed a bit silly to me. Some (most?) haven't got an Alpine showroom yet and I'm pretty sure from speaking to one or two that will delay them getting cars. In my case no dealer is going to be that convenient - I could choose 1 of 3 or 4 - but they are all an hour or more away. So I'm keeping my powder dry until it becomes clearer who will actually have a car to test.

Ah- that's interesting- I must admit the info on the app was very vague but I was under the impression that unless I chose a dealer then my application wouldn't be progressing. What are you planning to do? I presume they'll build all of the Premiere Editions regardless so you should still be able to get one at the end of the run?
Does anyone have any other up-to-date info on deliveries/test drives? Must admit the dealer I chose is not particularly close to me so I could go elsewhere if I got an earlier test drive/delivery slot.

Certainly the App does say they won't be able to progress my order until I pick a dealer. But on the other hand they won't progress my order until I sign an order form, so I can't see I have much, if anything, to lose. Of course, if others with a deposit sign an order form without driving the car, then my car may be delayed. I'm not prepared to sign without a drive, so if it delays my delivery, so be it.

Well I got the call from the dealer on Saturday- nearly didnt answer it as it was number withheld! Got my reservation in for a premier edition beginning of last year.

I'm no.6 on their list (St Albans - not really near me but the nearest!)
Demo cars arriving June/July with deliveries expected August.

They want me to travel to them sometime Feb (presumably to sign up and drop more cash) - would much rather do this remotely.

Am hoping the car is as good as expected. Reviews seem good.
Mmm, I wouldn't bet on that; someone I know placed an order at Goodwood, he was told (in either November or December, when he selected Winchester as the supplying dealer) that build will likely be Q4, he's not expecting it until Jan 2019.

That's my approach as well. I put the deposit down but expect a test drive before I have to commit further. I've just emailed Alpine (on a general email so it might just get ignored) asking for more info on delivery dates and dealers.
App says deliveries commence March so I've asked them if there is a dealer who will have early deliveries available.
I hope they don't drop the ball on this and p@ss off prospective customers with unreasonable demands on people to stump up before test drives etc.but then again perhaps my expectations are unreasonable - I've bought a number of new vehicles, just never ordered anything pre-production.

Presume that insn't a premiere edition though? By Goodwood (FOS?) they were long gone and were releasing slots for the next build

I have indeed. I hear that the delivery process is a bit of a mess in France as well with Alpine not being able to provide much clarity. To be fair, it was probably the same with halo Porsches so there's probably nothing new here and everyone just needs to be patient.

My understanding is that there will be demo cars by April. Deliveries much sooner than August.

Hi, do you mind me asking how you know that? Which dealer have you chosen or is this some inside info? Would be great if I had the 110 for Le Mans.
Many thanks

The main website says UK availability Q2. After all the delays I'm not sure if I believe it. I don't think the dealers really know either. At least now dealers on the continent are getting their cars and the delivery schedule is (sort of) declared with PE numbers 0-1000 getting first deliveries. May be the same for us, or some other variation on the theme. Mines 1548 - so I'm not getting too excited.....

One guy with no.1602 got his delivery contract signed already - first one to in queue at his centre apparently. I've also read conflicting news on the order of delivery based on your car number. Guess we just have to suck it up and be patient.

Go on. Admit it. Which one of you guys has the current bid at over 1k then? :-)

It was me but I was out when it went over £2500. Hope it goes to an owner rather than a flipper!

I was tempted to, but it's out of my league now. Even at 1460 it was going to be nearly £2k when all the extras were paid.

yup- once over £2500 it became a £4k reg after tax etc. Too steep for me!

perhaps a badly spaced "AL09PIN" or "A19INE" instead! I should do some sort of "joking" emoji here but I dont understand them!

Or A110 MGR which is in the same auction. Current bid at 600 odd.

Bidding finally stopped after being extended to 1:10pm. £3100 was the winning bid. Sort of glad it went well (rather than just) past my limit.
