As depreciation goes, that will take some beating. £30k in 12 months? Ouch!
More.£69,995 plus £1,105 for the sunroof, and £1,000 for the soundsystem.
http://media.lexus.co.uk/wp-content/files_mf/14673...
£72,000 all-in.
So £31k depreciation.
An old-shape M5 is similarly depreciated of course
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201... - was around £80k with options, now £42.5k @ 1 yr

I don't think that's entirely correct. At £80k list price, it was possible to get £16k off and 0% Interest on them M5's.£69,995 plus £1,105 for the sunroof, and £1,000 for the soundsystem.

It was therefore around £64,000 new so "only" lost 33% of its value. From what I can see the E63 has also faired slightly better than the Lexus.
It looks a cracking buy!! I wonder where/when it will bottom out?

Do we know this was sold with no discounts new?
No, but the configurator has it at £73,375.00 without an option ticked. To match the BMW depreciation it would have needed at least 15% off the list price (circa £62,000).kambites said:

Can't see you getting anywhere near that on the new one.
Lovely car. I had the pleasure of sitting in one of these in the Lexus showroom and firing it up. Great sounding V8.
Got to confess I am quite a Lexus fan, being on my 5th car and currently owning two RXs. I agree with many of the above comments as to the very solid quality in Lexus cars, throughout. If you can look beyond the car's styling and performance and consider the passage of time, this GS F, I am sure, will represent a high quality, low stressed vehicle that has longevity on its side. A future classic for what it is.
I personally like normal aspirated engines and the way they drive (compared to say the non-linear response of a turbocharged engine), and had a couple of TVRs in the past (the DNA of this website!). This car is a luxurious barge that can ship a family and luggage around all day on the autobahn without breaking a sweat, or even be a drive-to-track day 'weapon'. I love that interior too. A great buy for someone.

I wonder if the price of these dropping will transfer to the ISF. They seem to be anywhere from £19 - 35k
Would be good as I am seriously considering one as soon as my daughter's Nursery fees drop.
ISFs seem to have been fairly constant for the last 2 years. Maybe the rarity factor? Would be good as I am seriously considering one as soon as my daughter's Nursery fees drop.
Rough and ratty ones, which will be most of them in time, will end up changing hands at sub £5K in about 10 years before going to the scrapper. The few pretty, well-kept, low mileage ones will bottom out at about £10K and then start going up once the rough ones have all been turned into bean tins.

There are roughly 50 in the country and 10% of those are on the two threads reg GS Fs in this forum so are petrolheads I don t think a high amount will be treated badly as there is not enough mass more than 20 times the number of M5s or E63s...The way i see it, it's just another bargain to be had. It's also got a lot less chance of bankrupting you in repair, servicing and maintenance costs. On the flip side though, it will likely continue to depreciate at an alarming rate. It just depends which one you want to take a chance with.
This GSF at least seems like a better effort from Lexus than the RCF. I'd actually really like an ISF for less pennies though.

I wonder if it would be worth making an offer on this one? I've never dealt with Lexus so not sure how susceptible they are to dropping their prices. These are bigger than what I would be looking for to be honest but it could be a good buy for someone who couldn't stretch to a brand new one.
