An extra 3 grand for some paint. Sounds good. Where do I sign up.
Even you should have realised this as the info is available on the first page of a Google search!

Well your'e entitled to your opinion and if those are you halo cars, then so be it. They're not mine as I don't aspire to own either, I respect them and unlike yourself, I respect other people's views on them.
You appear to have a funny idea of respect when each occasion you went into a thread about a car of interest and only to dismiss the car based on your own pricing hierarchy.

And what the flaming heck does an 'average petrol head' mean? Someone who reads EVO magazine, drives a 15 year old hot-hatch from France or Germany and spouts utter froth?

It is a little ironic you take a pop at PCP when let's face it, there'll be a high percentage of RS' on PCP. Also you talk about barely serviced ropey examples, I'm pretty sure there were plenty of 300ZX's at one point going very cheap because they were ropey, uncared for or badly modified. The example shown is a particularly rare example but they've become rare because they're old and there were many cheap tired examples 5+ years ago. As with many cars, it'll be the the immaculate ones that will draw attention.

You can take a pop at German 'barges' but I'll take the 17k CLS63 I own outright over a 300ZX. Feel free to buy that 300ZX if it's your dream car and enjoy it.
Top Japanese sports cars of the 1990's for sale on ebay/gumtree were indeed ropey - and its a real steal if you can find a desirable spec that has been serviced, looked after and is in good form - £15k (ONO) for someone who appreciates such rare performance cars is more than reasonable.

The Focus - like many of its predecessor RS models have a strong following/demand, it's pricing new or used reflects this - if these types of motorcars do not appeal to you just look elsewhere instead - clearly your portfolio shows this.

Wow, the atmosphere is a little sour in here isn't it?

Hi, ho, ho....., season's greetings and good will to all you aggressive/pedantic/self important/bloody minded, know it all, keyboard warriors.

What a shame this site has degraded into a personal slighting platform rather than the informative and interesting exchange of shared interest and viewpoints it used to be.

Bah Humbug you miserable lot, think my days of browsing here are very near their end.

Pity.

I have no problem with Ford, they've made some brilliant cars and ones I have huge respect for so it's not a case of simply slating them.

I am far from a troll and generally respectable to people on here so I really don't see the need for your unpleasant attitude.
I never accused you of being a troll did I rather the person who you felt the need to defend. Again you have jumped back in before thinking about it. As for my "unpleasant attitude" it really is just the natural reaction to dumb comments like the one below which show a distinct lack of respect especially as the person producing them didn't even have the nounce to check what he was regurgitating was correct.

People complained when the mk2 FRS was fwd and not 4wd, the lewd green paintjob and £27k. They then complained the mk2 FRS500 was £35k with not much extra over the standard car and still fwd. They then complained the mk3 was 5dr and crap compared to mk2. But yet it come with 4wd and people still complained it wasnt a true rs. Now this is £3k over standard mk3 frs with alot of decent options (quaife, red paint job, nice recaros etc as standard. And is even more limited than the frs500 mk2 and yet people still complain!??? You all know for a fact it will sell out in one day, will be pumped up and loved by everyone when its out in the public domain. And if/when a mk4 frs comes (if it comes) it will get utterly trashed yet again by nothing but winging complainers, and then accepted once its readily available!!

Gotta love the tinterweb. 😂

My friend in the trade tells me WBAC will be offering £1200 for these up on release.

You'd much better off with a big car from a German manufacturer when it comes to residuals. Something like an Audi S8.

Is that it? A spell check? What has that got to do with regurgitating incorrect facts? Has anyone else spelt it wrong in the thread for me to have incorrectly regurgitated it? Is that really the best you could have come up with, very poor!

The LSD - has anyone decided it's worth having?

I know some people have decided that when they've added it it made some difference but then again when you've paid a load of extra money you're going to convince yourself it's improved aren't you?

I can't say I've ever notice any pressing need for one on the RS, at least in sensible-ish use, but I can see how it could compromise things like steering feel in normal use. So potentially makes the car worse not better most of the time?

If it had always been just another build option from the start I'd probably tick the box because it was there but wouldn't jump for a special edition just because of it.

As for the special edition I don't like the colours and I don't like the extras so wouldn't have one over a standard car. And the red isn't exactly a special colour except for them not offering it before, though at least the clash with the painted calipers has been sorted.

Playing the investment game maybe you'll be better off a bit as it could see better depreciation. Maybe. I wouldn't see buying and parking one as an investment if I looking for gains though, work out the cost of storage then allow for inflation and it's usually a mugs game.
