Is that it? A spell check? What has that got to do with regurgitating incorrect facts? Has anyone else spelt it wrong in the thread for me to have incorrectly regurgitated it? Is that really the best you could have come up with, very poor!
Is this the five minute argument or the full half hour?vanschpunk said:
People complained when the mk2 FRS was fwd and not 4wd, the lewd green paintjob and £27k. They then complained the mk2 FRS500 was £35k with not much extra over the standard car and still fwd. They then complained the mk3 was 5dr and crap compared to mk2. But yet it come with 4wd and people still complained it wasnt a true rs. Now this is £3k over standard mk3 frs with alot of decent options (quaife, red paint job, nice recaros etc as standard. And is even more limited than the frs500 mk2 and yet people still complain!??? You all know for a fact it will sell out in one day, will be pumped up and loved by everyone when its out in the public domain. And if/when a mk4 frs comes (if it comes) it will get utterly trashed yet again by nothing but winging complainers, and then accepted once its readily available!!
Gotta love the tinterweb. ??
Everyone always has to think and talk st about the negatives I agree.Gotta love the tinterweb. ??
No one will be happy with what ford produces come mk4 frs time.

You tell me. You are the one who decided to join in merely for the sake of a spell check and had nothing to add to the actual context which the article was based on. Oh the irony!
Dear god, as you get older, you will learn smile, wryly and let things go and not always have to prove yourself to people who don't actually care (see also "Frozen": Let it Go). Knock yourself out. Butter Face said:
My mate is consdering buying one to stick in the garage and keep with delivery mileage. Reckons it's a future £100k car....
He is a Ford Fanboi with a Mk1 and Mk2 RS already though so slightly biased.....

Red is my favourite colour, so I love the look of these.
For the anti-brigade both this and the blue "edition" models will do nothing to increase the car's appeal, but to both the casual admirer and RS fanatic I think they're worthy additions to the range.
An RS500 would've been great, but there was no way to reliably increase the power level enough to justify it as "special" model, not over and above the 375hp that Mountune already offer. Not with a warranty anyway.
I like the mk3, and yes there have been engine issues, but no worse than Porsche had with their GT3, Subaru with their EJ25 or BMW and the nikasil debacle etc. st happens, there's a permanent fix on the horizon, and Ford pay the bill anyway.
As for future values, it's an RS, so will inevitably be worth a fortune in a decade or two. Like the Sapphire Cosworths that were once going for £4000 that now command £35000 for a tidy one, or a mk6 RS2000 that people were throwing away not a long time ago, that are now being snapped up for £15000 (in some cases) and rising!

I don't know where people are getting "it costs £3k more than a non edition one" as it doesn't.
When you spec up a normal FRS with all the options (not the quaife) it costs £36k.
So really these edition versions are giving you the diff for free.
It was Yipper maths unfortunately. He missed the fact that it's an Edition version not the regular model. I wonder if and what discounts are to be had on a non Red Edition version? When you spec up a normal FRS with all the options (not the quaife) it costs £36k.

Hmmm I can't see this being a big investment car despite the ltd edition. I think the whole MK3 RS will be looked back upon as best forgotten.
Ford need to get a hold of the next one and produce something special rather than an unreliable, bloated hum drummer like the MK3. The fact these run out editions have no more power is a teller as to how Ford are feeling about the cracking blocks and head gaskets.
For the record - yes I've owned a MK3 RS (not for long though)

Contrary to ALL the reviews. Obviously you are entitled to your own opinion even if it is wrong. Hum drum? Easily the best Focus ever made and far more exciting than the rest or indeed the competition.Ford need to get a hold of the next one and produce something special rather than an unreliable, bloated hum drummer like the MK3.
The engines going pop sucks a bit but if you have a read up it seems the replacements are heavily revised and best of all, FREE.
We get it, you hate these cars and like to ststir by making threads about them. How empty your life must be.
The rest of the RS hate squad arriving in 3.....2.....1.......
