no not really
You're just not really into cars that much that's all, Westfield are very well known and have been for a long time

Audi A8 is quite common, A8 LWB W12 quite rare, usually one or two on Autotrader, but my A8 SWB W12 sports quattro is very rare. They made a few hundred in 2004/5 as a stopgap between the old D2 S8 V8 (anyone seen the 'Ronin' car chase?) and the new D3 S8 V10 -same power, but less torque than the W12. Only about 50 right hand drive versions were sold here - I don't know how many are still on the road.
I see it's been mentioned before in this thread - just thought I'd clarify and expand on it a bit. One of the finest sports saloons of its time - utterly delightful to drive.
I absolutely love A8's. There something really cool about them and they're great Q cars.
One of the best things I've seen in many years of motoring was an A8L Quattro absolutely monstering a 911 Carrera away from.the lights on an uphill slip road on.the A1M.
No.idea if it was chipped, but by the time the Porsche had reached the top of the slip road the Audi was in a distant figure in the outside lane. eekthumbup
The SWB W12 would have been even quicker. Not only is it shorter and lighter it has a lower geared final drive than the L limo. I don't think they were ever tested in the mags in this country. It is indeed a great Q car.

I’m yet to understand what a rare common car is yet so here’s mine, 1 of 66. Next to the Eiffel Tower, 1 of 2.

laugh

Is this a C350 petrol? If so, only 66?! Really?!
Frankly rediculous, 1 of 2??? There is a third in Vegas hehe

Care to elaborate about the Mercedes? Or are we to guess what makes it so rare? We've have C350, so I'm going to go manual box.

Yes, really!

I think it's unusual for anyone who might visit a car forum not to have heard of Westfield before.

There is no definition of the word "win" that involves owning a PT Cruiser.

Only 80, wow when you think of all the 1 series on the road that makes this a seriously unpopular choice.
That's the second time you've tried that joke and you got ignored the first time.

The BMW 130i is actually very highly rated.
Yes but with only 80 sold it wasnt popular like say a 120d

In keeping with the latest fast Yaris - I can't imagine there are huge numbers of the 1.8 Yaris SR out there?

I'd never considered these to be a particularly rare car...but then i thought...how many of them have i actually seen?

Not many!

But i have driven one, i really liked it, it was pretty quick and good to drive. Maybe it was just too subtle to interest anyone?
Mrs Mansilla had one of these for a while. Same colour, but more doors. It was rather fun at the time, and the wheels looked great polished. In 2007 17" was fairly big, particularly for a car that size. We must have a 5-dr hot-ish supermini thing, as we currently have a 5 door Fiesta ST, which is another rare variant of a common car.

I offer an E60 550i SE manual (as seen on PH):
That's stunning, and a great little back-story to go with it.
I feel partly responsible for the lack of these. I worked on Fast and Furious 6 in the picture vehicles dept and they bought up all the manual V8 E60’s going, made them into M5 reps and then smashed them up. There was one manual 550i that slipped through the net though, and lives in with no doubt some interesting tales to tell.

What makes somebody disregard all the vehicle choices available and buy one of those?

Doubt it really counts, but the non limited edition of the BMW 130i 3 door seems to be rarer than the actual limited edition version.

Woop.

There were only 80 SE spec ones because they only briefly sold them in that spec, most are either LE spec or M Sport.

Hugely underrated car when new, now being appreciated for how great a concept it is with a naturally aspirated 270hp 3.0 straight six, RWD and all in a hatchback.

This was available in the UK. Rare, but available.
Well, all V12 e38's are rare, especiallt the short wheelbase ones. Just 113 facelift (99-01) 750i's were produced for all the rhd markets.
