ks. This morning so far I've seen a 458 in the hospital car park, a 488 driving into the Jaguar dealership. Another 488 in the gym car park. An FF on the M56 motorway and an F12 on the A34, and it's not even lunchtime yet.

It may be a great car, but the marketing waffle is nauseating, and PH, of course, lapped it up like good little journos.
"Specifications leaked" - no, Ferrari marketing says "faster, lighter, more powerful" without giving any numbers.
"the highest racing technology transfer on a street homologated Ferrari" - does this actually mean anything?
"a 20 per cent gain in aerodynamic efficiency" - what - lower drag, higher downforce, or meaningless waffle?
a "unique, track-like sound" ditto
"It's believed that" blah blah carbon blah blah.
Ferrari PR does a fact-free teaser, and PH reports it as "leaked specifications". Total click-bait.
I'm prepared to believe that the car, when released, will be brilliant, but Ferrari PR have done a masterful bullst blinder here, and PH reporter swallowed it whole.

Gateshead was just the nearest dump I could see out of the window. If I could see as far as Sunderland, then...
*runs*To be fair, I do see a number of very nice cars around here, but certainly not being used as 'dailies'. Quite a few McLarens dotting around here in the last 6 months or so, so I think Mac need to hurry up and open the dealership they have been talking about for the North East...seems there is a market up here!

Apart from the fact that the Lambo's 'crown' has since been passed to the GT2RS. Until the 488 GTO/Spaz arrives which will be then trumped by the 720 'LT' which will then be beaten by the.[ ].......Ad infinitum.Its this constant power and speed battle which has lost my interest in current supercars, coupled with the fact that they are pretty much impossible for the ordinary buyer to order even if they have the financial wherewithal (which I don't sadly).
I just want a well sorted air cooled 911 these days and couldn't care less what's faster around the 'Ring. Alas prices of those have gone stratospheric as well.

Certainly the special editions are being more cosseted, but the regular "cooking" 458, 448s, etc are absolutely being driven. They just aren't (for the most part) being driven to the shops to pick up some grout.
