For some reason I see a lot of Qashquais in either white or a metallic blue/purple, without fail being driven like the driver is desperate for a st!

Citroen Xsara Picasso

Every single one is shagged beyond belief. One hub cap missing, massive car park scrapes, never been washed, boot lid dent from reversing into gates, cracked wing mirrors, interiors completely shot to peices by milk stains, bogeys, broken CD shards and annoying brats kicking the back of the seat. They need to be put out of their misery.

PT Cruiser

For people who belong inside a walled community left to their doom.

MGB/MG Midget

Because I'd choose the PT Cruiser first.

Completely correct about the Picasso. My dad's looked alright from the outside but it was ragged every single day possible, red-line at the traffic light grand prix 2 minutes after starting it. Impeccably reliable though, he only had one problem with it.

You don't like the MGB!? Why!? It's going to be my first classic, hopefully this year

There seems to be a huge hatred for the Nissan Quahqai.

My dad smacked his Toyota Urban Cruiser into the side of a Peugeot a few months after buying it. We got a 2017 Quahqai as a courtesy car, lovely thing, best car I've ever been in (not saying much though). Did have a habit about beeping when going over the centre line, which on a tight, twisty Scottish country road is unavoidable on certain corners (safely of course)

This is not irrational, it's rational:

Peugeot 3008, absolutely wrong from all angles.

Mitsubishi L200 (not the 1st gen, they looked okay) why make a pick-up with stupid girly curves (I especially hate the tail lights) and at the same time stick " Barbarian" graphics all over it?

Mercedes-Benz GLA

Mercedes-Benz CLA

Mercedes-Benz A class (they really shouldn't use the word "class")

Mercedes-Benz C class, saggy bottom.

Suzuki Ignis (especially latest one)

Ford B-max, Ford C-max

Audi Q2 (actually, any Audi Q)

Bentley Bentayga or whatever it's called (what a stupid pissing name)

Red 5

There are loads to of cars owned by non enthusiast types, in a semi coma.
Most boring super mini stuff, all the budget soft readers, all the ‘Right badge, but ste version’ status brigade etc
All and every version of taxi / car for hire, all the silver 51 plate Vauxhaul astrays still about.....etc etc.

Specifically though, I’d say I’m most likely to have to avoid, or make special allowance for the driving of any visually modified vehicle.

The T5 is a good example. I thought these were just camper / VW vans, but oh no!
The are more highly thought of by their owners (only) than almost anything else on the road it seems. They are almost hero worshipped amongst their ‘Scene’

This comes across in the antics I’ve seen from the drivers of these slammed jalopies frown
I had no idea of these owners entitlement to do what they want, when they want to!

Really? There's plenty of desirable cars that are auto only, the supercar market nigh on is auto only these days barring a few rare manuals.

I don't like 4x4s. Of the ones I do like its the LR90/110/Land Cruiser because of the utilitarianism and I understand that "some" people need one for towing.

But everyone decides they need a Pug 5008, Kia Sportage/Sorrento, Hyundai Tucson/Santa Fe, LR Disco SportBruv/Disco, RR Evoque/Velar/SportBruv/FFRR and when they park up out pops a tiny housewife! They take up extra space in already limited car park spaces. It's also the unnecessary power and inefficiency that makes my teeth itch. Most of the cars will be driven by "go getting premium people" and when they floor it, there is a lot of engine and transmission noise and relatively little forward motion. The world would be a boring place without all these cars - well I'd put up with vanilla!

I keep getting stuck in hire cars I thought I hated and they keep turning out to be very likable.
Last holiday in Italy I was expecting a Focus/Golf/Astra sized car. They gave me a little Citroen DS at Milan and told me they'd swap it for a Golf at their Modena office the next day. The office had no Golfs and upgraded me to an Audi A3 5 door.
Hate Audis? Hate Citroen or any other French car? Hate to tell u this but both were bloody good cars.

To be fair there aren’t any ‘bad’ cars these days, it’s just a matter of taste. Thankfully the days of Allegro’s etc., are long gone.

I tend to hate those One Life Live It type Land Rovers. They aren't really much better than the standard vehicle for off roading, wide tyres don't really suit british conditions, you don't need masses of ground clearance, especially for side slopes. The worst thing is people don't know how to drive them, all off road driving is done in low first or second with the throttle pressed into the mat.

Apparently at the tail-end of production AustinRover had the Allegro pretty well sorted out and it was getting very positive reviews from the motoring press.
I always liked the estate. A 1750HL would have been nice.

I’m easy going when it comes to cars. I don’t mind Qashqais, or Jukes or a lot of the other stuff mentioned.

I do however have a hatred of the following:

Citroen Xsara Picasso
It’s the only car that looks like it’s going backwards, going forwards. Seriously who designed it! It looks disgusting from all angles, and looks and feels cheap. I’ll never forget the discussion I had when I used to work at a Citroen/Ford dealer with a staff member who’d just picked a XP over a Cmax. He couldn’t give me any reason why he’d bought the Citroen over the Ford other than price. And even then he didn’t save that much and put up with the hateful turd for 2 years, taking more of a depreciation hit when he sold it.

Vauxhall Zafira Mk1
You need a car with 7 seats so you buy one based on the Astra not the segment above that can actually hold 7 people. They look horrendous, driving position is awful, in 2.0 diesel form where absolutely dangerously slow and still had the footprint of an Astra. Also what was going on with them wingmirrors!

Any Honda Type R
This one may not be a popular opinion so bear with me. My hate for Hondas started when I had a Mondeo ST200 and a friend bought a Civic VTi. He’d lowered it, stripped it out and yes it kept up with the Mondeo however it was hateful to be in, the interior was horrible, and the noise it made was just vile. It was a car that could not be driven quietly in anyway. He swapped it for a Civic Type R EP3. Not a great deal quicker than the VTi, but could take the Mondeo however again was a shouty, noisy look at me I’m going so fast except I’m not kind of car. When I got given a new at the time Focus ST 2.5 for a week to use from work the Focus was light years ahead in terms of interior design, torque and handling. And the noise of a 5 pot was better than any Vtec any day of the week. Another friend has an Accord Euro R import. Why can Honda not make a fastish car that doesn’t sound like a yob test driving it even when you’re going to the bloody shops.

In fact the only one I warmed to was the last shape Civic Type R. Handsome to look at, boosted so nice to drive and generally well equipped. The new one however really looks awful. Not as awful as the Citroen Xsara Picasso. But close

What’s that ugly heap darting between lanes, jumping into spaces causing others to brake, undertaking to jump in front of one car ?

Did you not read the title? The ‘probably irrational’ bit should have given you a clue that these are not entirely serious.
