Much better to go for a Continental R - good ones start around £40K.
For this sort of dosh a Continental T Mulliner is a whole load better.
You havent lived until you have driven a "real" Bentley - not one of those gauche VW things.
I really want a Continental R to tow my Turbo R to track days!

I too will stick my head above the parapet and suggest it’s a ghastly thing.
The Continental, the R or indeed the T have so much more class, whereas this thing suggests that Bentley saw an opening to fleece some customers who have no class but believe they do.
I’d imagine Victoria (there’s nothing ‘Posh’ about her) Beckham or Cheryl Tweedy-Cole-Whoeverelseitisthatspokingme would feel comfortable, basking in the reflected class that their tiny minds believe comes wi5 ownership....
And I’m adraid I see Prindiville as a London side-boy version of Kahn//Khan so on that premise I’d find myself a nice R or T that’s being sold by its comfortably well-off owner from new, that obviously has had the means to maintain it.

It was listed for 100k, kind of like the idea but needs more doing mechnically.
And as for the thread subject, nice enough but for the same money you could have a GT Speed or stretch a bit to a Supersports Conti, of course we will get "Footballer" etc etc comments but it will be a much better car, can appreciate the old one but not sure why we always have to slag anything current off.

Why? There are single owner cars popping out of the woodwork of all marques. And marque specialists seem to have a regular trickle too, if I (metaphorically) wanted to buy from there.rtz62 said:

Good luck with that, I think you'll be looking a long time. Sadly I wouldn’t be able to afford one at the moment anyway, and in 2-3 years time when I could do so I’m sure prices will have risen still further for good ones. Hey ho...
Coming right back to reality with a sickening thud, the Continental SC was shockingly poorly made, under engineered and a horrible thing to drive.
It's easy to see it now as a modern-classic (especially as it'll rarely be driven) and as something that harks back to Bentley traditional values - whatever they are and probably untrue even in the brand's true 1930s glory days. But when the SC was new it was one of the most disappointing ways you could spend the outrageous money that Bentley asked for it. If there are owners who have owned the car from new it's part of a large collection and very low mileage because anyone who actually bought it to drive soon realised that the wind buffeting from the targa roof made it impossible to drive fast and, with it in place, it was a useful as a cotton hanky in keeping out rain. That is if it didn't break down. It is FAR from being Crewe's finest hour.

I really need to watch less Dave/NatGeo.
