To be fair though most men, and some women, would love to get to grips with a growler

Will any modern cars be One day regarded as beautiful design classics ? Maybe some alphas , the db7 Aston’s were much prettier than anything since and the xj220 jag / 355 Ferrari were the last drop dead gorgeous super cars for me
Here's a 355

Must be a case of them being dragged up by Miura and Countach asking prices, much the same as bog standard '60s Mini saloons, vans, Elfs, Hornets etc hiking up behind the Cooper S, slightly different league mind you!

308 GTB or 288 over a 355, for me.

Also on the list would be
Lotus Elan Sprint DHC
BMW E24
Alfa 8C
Muira
275 GTO

Not bothered by E Type or Gullwing Merc though they’re regularly in Top 10s, although both are welcome in my garage...

I know that. GTB looks better but does the spider look better than the GTB though?

I think the Spider looks good with the roof down, but a bit untidy with the roof up. If it is just about beauty I assume practical considerations like that don't apply.

God I wish people would stop posting pictures of that. Bangle did some awful things and that is right up there. It's like something David Attenborough might find on the ocean floor five miles down.
There are cars more worthy of being found on the sea-floor:

Curves are better than straight lines.

That said, a skilful straight line is better than a clumsy curve - Aston Bulldog/Countach beats XJ220/XKSS imo
But whenever a smidge of talent is used with a curve it will always be better.

Also real beauty doesn't require specific colours or wheels sizes.

Also Bangle was/is a brave and necessary challenge to the 'norm'.
A lot of what he did was a mess of course, but he was brave and necessary.

Alfa 8C... right near the top.

I think straight lines might make a bit of a comeback soon. These look quite refreshing amongst the blobs ...

The Aston Martin V8V, pre 2009 is my favourite modern car.
Ferrari 355 is fantastic; pop up lights.
The 50’s / 60’s stuff is stunning, the Lamborghini 4200 (?) GT, AM DB4 and Maserati 3500 would be my small selection.
