They're quoting 666bhp and 720ft/lb, so just under the powertrain limits,
If you run the calculations from imperial to metric it equates to ~977Nm. So significantly over the rating of the 8HP70 transmission, 70 being a reference to 700Nm. Plus the ring gear torque rating of the front differential is barely enough for the standard car which has a very specific AWD calibration to mitigate the durability concern, otherwise they go pop. Clutch stress in the centre coupling is similarly critical.

So in essence, anyone who buys one of these cars can expect a hefty bill not too far down the line.

Much as I like the F-Type, I think I'd rather have...

Each to their own, I much prefer the standard car. That looks like a boxy mess to my eyes!

They really need to change the gearbox. I have a v8 awd and whilst it is a fantastic car it would be so much better with a decent dct box.

Quite possible that it has the 8HP90, which would be much more do-able. 1000Nm shouldn't be too much trouble for that. Speculating though.

I can't help but correct those commenting on the "styling"

It's almost entirely the original bodywork with a bit of a skirt underneath, and a Green grille surround, based on the F-Type R
And a set of aftermarket wheels

It's Ian Callum's team that did a great job of the design, not Listers
