D type is my favourite car of all time.
Shame these new ones can’t be made road legal but I’m still happy they exist.

They may not be roadable, and they may not be accepted into all the best historic events, but they're making enough of them to start their own one-make race series. Just a thought...

Same as Jaguar did with the XK-SS that Hammond drove.

There's a difference what a manufacturer can do with registering non-compliant test and evaluation vehicles (like all those non-compliant camo test vehicles) and what they can sell to the public as a certified new car.

Isn't me who knows nothing.

Do not believe the manufacturers have a different legal system to the rest of the UK population? If so I would love to see that legal loophole shown to me on official paperwork.

I assume the XJ13 will be the next one for similar treatment? .... complete with quad-cam V12 you would imagine. I shudder to think how much they would be charging for one of those!
Ooh yeah! That would be amazing. Neville Swales at https://buildingthelegend.co.uk/ needs to be in on it.

It will be illegible for racing.
There's certainly been a lot of manufacturers who haven't bothered reading rules, but...

Yes, for prototypes.
