These things are doubtless fun, evidenced by their popularity over here but I'm always left with the distinct impression that a purchase of this is much more about stroking one's own pole, than any semblance of utilitarian needs. Not that there's anything especially wrong with this, just that the pretense/artifice around these things is a little distasteful.

"Hey bro! look how big my d**k is! Its like... massive! Yo yo yo"

Hey ho.

Just my 2p.

What a weird thing to say.
Uh oh. Touched a nerve here me thinks. Jacko has definitely carried out the old scratch and sniff test on his sisters undercrackers. wink

Maybe the Ranger Raptor might suit the UK better?

With a high % of US high on opioids, and also rather large, the cars vagueness will match the head of the driver? Plus the size equally needed-some US cars have seats that swivel to get the driver out of the car, and retractable steering wheel a necessity?
Two fingers to us pinkos concerned about the environment? They've already messed it up well - don't like a country being too 'socialist'? invade it!
I wonder how they'd feel if drones started taking out bits of Texas. But, enough ...let's just think about ginormous trucks.

Well done; can you get a Brexit reference in there as well?

I read the article and immediately thought of my previously owned 1960 GMC Apache 5.7 V8 that span out on diesel last year and committed suicide into a lamppost. (See salvage listing on EBay for bright orange GMC truck). I can’t help thinking 4x4 might have helped but it was certainly wider with LHD and overly light PAS but still great smiles per miles.
The Raptor might not be perfect for every occasion but I suspect if the writer did drive this then we can assume it wasn’t for him/her. Maybe send someone with an open mind and a passion for all things vehicular. If you get a job waxing back, sack and cracks you can’t choose which you wax.

Love that if they gave it a 400hp engine.

Having just watched the latest episode of 'The Grand Tour' and had a chance to scale the Raptor against human beings and some 'regular' SUV's I really don't see the issue with size. OK it looked big, but not outrageous. Like the GT350R, another fantastic vehicle we can't actually buy. Thanks Ford.

In the late 1940s both the UK and Australian governments had a small number of people looking into a national change from left-hand traffic to right-hand traffic. Apparently these efforts were independently carried out and, eventually, tabled without further action.

It would have been the ideal time for such a switch, before ubiquitous car ownership and before the advent of sophisticated road networks.

I'm hoping that the Ranger Raptor is approved for global sales -- much like the Mustang GT. Both LHD and RHD. Another site says it's already in Asia.

Am going to test drive the new raptor in next couple of weeks. Will let you know how I get on.

It has a lot to live up to with the current one I have. I just can’t shake the V6 option out of my head, but need to test it to find out.

Also when I do come back to UK this (or it’s replacement) will definitely come back with me. Is the best “car” I’ve ever owned. Practical and fun. The flatbed gets used a lot by the way!

The ranger raptor does look very cool. In the US the boggo Ranger has a 2.3l ecoboost which is easily good for 300bhp+ so if the ranger raptor is a hit it might be an option although it looks like there isn't a plan to sell it in the US so we might be stuck with the miserable ROW spec diseasel.
Looks like it might happen...

Pity, it looks like it should have a 400hp engine in it, maybe a 3.0 diesel with 300hp would makes sense.
