my F355

Doesn’t matter if I’ve driven it multiple times a week or the first drive in weeks, always puts a smile on my face.

Also I’ve spent a lot time helping/bonding with my dad fixing things on it over the years, multiple clutches, I’m not mechanically minded but he is, so in a way it holds some sentimental value now which i would find difficult to part with.

I do, love them. They have character, which some people just don’t get.
Same. I'll never get rid of my 9-5 Aero. Just hit 140k.

“Never” is a strong word but I’d probably say that my Alpina B5 Touring and my 928 will be with me until my dying breath. Or just afterwards when someone sells them.

My ‘85 5 Series. Always wanted one and despite hints from Mrs Sammo (“I hate that car!” Etc) I will never part with it.

Can’t see myself selling my 986 Boxster S.

Still ULEZ compliant…

It will be interesting to see how future legislation changes peoples views on keeping a beloved ICE car.

I'll certainly never say never, because you never know what's around the corner. However, unless the excrement ever hits the reciprocating cooling device, I have zero intention of parting with my C43.

When I was a 16 year old apprentice Mercedes-Benz tech in the late 90s, it was my *realistic* dream car, although it didn't feel very realistic when I was on £2.40 an hour at the time laugh . Every time I get behind the wheel it makes me smile, and evokes vivid memories from all those years ago wondering "what if?".

Have had 3 or 4....

...and they were all sold.

Plans for the current one is, with me being a crusty, is it'll only be sold if I end up sitting dribbling on the sofa not knowing I have a car or dead ....or if I can no longer get in it biggrin

We have a pair that we won't be parting with for as long as is practical

a 2010 facelift R230 Merc SL 350
a 2006 R171 Merc SLK 350

They're not some flashy megabucks cars like a lot have on here, but I can honestly say that I wouldn't swap the SL for anything really. It's in beautiful condition, like new near as dammit. Really quality interior, looks nice, sounds nice (but not chavvy). Bought it off an old, retired gent in Scotland. I'm still in touch with him now - he likes to get pics of it from it's euro-travels.

The SLK is old, but we got it as a one owner, 50k miles, FMBSH, full tier one warranty from new til just before we bought it, it's had new front and rear subframes (under warranty - no idea why as the old ones weren't rusty (we know the car)). It's in great nick.

Planning on keeping them til they're basically prised - or priced - out of our hands.

This is still here after 7 years and has built up a lot of sentimental value in that time. Although i've always promised myself a Caterham one day as 50 gets nearer and nearer the chances of that happening get slimmer and slimmer. Plus you don't get airscarf in a Caterham.

You dont really get anything much in a Caterham, except perhaps a load of fun, and the grin to go with it!

1972 Morgan 4/4 1600; I bought it in June 1991, just after finishing my accountancy finals. I still have it and it holds lots of memories.

EuroDisney 1992, at the end of a charity drive for Save the Children, shortly after the Paris site opened. The car shares a birthday with my wife.

About 2004, my son in the car, probably after a trip to Loughborough Main Line Steam.

More recently, I bought my wife a Mazda MX5 California, the car she would have bought if she could have afforded it at the time. Unless I can find a close to mint NA California, this will be a keeper too.
