Just had a look on How Many Left - looks like there are about 1500 Clio turbos on the road, and 28,000 Fiesta STs, which would explain why I see about 5 STs every time I pop to the shops, and also probably why you hear about them getting stolen more often than anything else.
I hate how common they are, especially in spirit blue that mine is, makes it not stand out at all despite it being a vivid colour.

On the contrary, I quite like seeing them everyday.
It means the British public still have an appetite for driving fast(ish) cars despite the obstacles put in front of them.
Just a thought.

If a manufacturer makes a really good car and sells it at an affordable price then it will be popular! I just wish there were more cars which fit into those two categories clap

it'll be interesting to see what the new one is like. I just want to know what the weight is before ordering one (ford refuse to tell me)
if it's not 50+kg lighter then i'm not interested

I'd be amazed if it was lighter. Something around the same would do me - I'm waiting on the first reviews to come out and am hoping it hasn't lost too much of the "old skool" appeal of the current one.

I'll be surprised if the 1500cc 3 cylinder engine is better on anything other than emissions. It may actually shore up values on the present ST in time.

Well we already know it puts out a dollop more torque. The curbweight should be easy enough to estimate. How much heavier is a current 3cyl, 3dr "ST-Line" in comparison to the last generation?

But that would be a 3cyl vs 3cyl weight not a 4cyl vs 3cyl or am I missing something?

The 2018 ST will be 3cyl too mate, albeit bigger at 1500cc.

Would it be wrong to sell my P1 Impreza and have 2 fiestas.... laugh
Yes it would.

Though I'd guess you could have more than 2 Fiestas for the price of a P1 these days

I might sell later this year because I just don't use it enough, if I can get a sum of money knocking on the door of £20K then I'd probably be happy!

Seriously considering going back to an ST Fiesta once my lease is up though, can't stop thinking about how much fun it was to drive after reading this thread!

It doesn't put out more torque than an ST200, the question is how much boost is it running?

I loved mine. Great car.

Headlights were st. So we’re the Bridgestones. Other than that no complaints from me.

GAP insurance was cheaper than a disklok though. laugh

I don't drive mine hard enough to notice that the Bridgestones are crap.. What would be recommended then when I replace them? I guess can't go wrong with Michelins?

All this arguing about it has made me go and look at a 17 plate ST3 on Saturday

Just took mine for a little drive, it is pretty rapid, especially with the mountune 215 kit on.

Will be tuning it more this summer, theres so much aftermarket stuff out there if thats your thing.

Got a 2016 ST-3 and really love it. Also got Mountune MP215 and the increase isn't night and day but noticeable. More mid range grunt and a stronger top end. Just replaced front tyres with Michelin PS3 and they are an improvement on the RE050's.

The mountune kit is £699 including vat. Is it worth it ?
