With the MSO front bumper these are great looking things. Far better resolved than the 650S IMO.
Absolutely right. The MSO front on the MP4 is the best looking McLaren. The more recent cars all look a bit silly.

The limited edition McLaren 50 12C is the ultimate incarnation.

This article failed to mention that the 458 totally OWNED the 12C (and 650s) not just for pleasure but also round the track.

Out of interest have you owned (or driven) either of them?

Can you extended the Officiak warranty
Yes upto 7 years now
3+7=10?

5k a year. It’s the way things are but I still think a 200k product should last longer.
Nope 7 including the 3 unfortunately.
Just because the warranty runs out it doesn't mean it no longer works wink

Er, have the warranty terms changed (again?)? As of when I renewed the warranty it was extendable up to cars up 10 or 12 years old (forgot which).

The 458 was my dream car and a couple of years ago I was in a position to buy one...but came away from the test drive very disappointed...nervous twitchy steering (although some people think it is great, so everyone to their own) with no feed back, poor interior and a massive price tag. Great looking car with a superb engine, but the rest you can keep...sadly. ...
I walked away with exactly the same impression the 1st time I drove a 458. Twitchy and overly "digital".

Well outside my pay league sadly!
Thanks. Both the 12C and 650S have been great DDs.

Or for slightly less than £98,995

Another "discreet" Supercar. Lower miles, similar power, 3 years newer. THAT intoxicating V10 howl! biggrin

I would imagine this is cheaper to run and generally more reliable too...
