I agree they're limited enough in volume they will probably appreciate if the factors affecting the current market remain constant. But I still find it unfathomable how the Focus RS500 has maintained and increased it's value over an RS Lux 1 or 2 with Mountine MP350 kit. Basically identical product in black with a 3M matt vinyl wrap.
Of course its a world wide ltd edition only 101 UK examples. Sold to 24 countries . Even the mighty RS Cosworth 500 was only UK market.

Incorrect. Suspended the recall, not cancelled it. Sealant is on the way and some cars have already been done where dealerships had the sealant anyway. Don't know where you're getting 2022 from; maybe you've misread the FSA is valid unto 2023?

Everyone forgotten the imploding inlets in the Mk2 Focus RS? These things happen on lots of cars.

Stop worrying about it and enjoy it. If it goes pop you've got a warranty so it'll get fixed. Get a grip FFS.
Don't worry, he's not a real person. Staggered that the totally inept PH moderators allow this sh*t to go on again and again.

Of all the colour they could have chosen??, they could have gone for something like the legendary Imperial Blue.

Orange just seems an odd choice.

They're a rather bulbous looking vehicle. I think the orange/black helps break the car up a bit.

I'd say that the jury is out on if the MK3 Focus RS will become a future classic and rise significantly in value. I'm fully aware that history dictates that all RS models will hold their value and will eventually go up, even more so with these limited edition models.

I'm just personally a bit skeptical about this new one. I'll probably be proven wrong though.
Is this a serious post? Ford have recalled all RS Foci MK3 for the much-trumpeted head gasket issue, then CANCELLED THE RECALL (I'm not joking) because it will take until 2022 to get the right parts in. Google it if you don't believe me.

To then be putting this up when they should be putting their energies in to sorting out poor blighters like me who already done bought one of these makes comedians of us all. It's farce, do not buy this car it's farce.

Like I said before if anyone wants to make a documentary about how bad the MK3 RS has been then I'm willing to contribute.
I'm not sure what you're arguing with, as i'm agreeing with you here, for the most part. Zero marks for your reading skills there, i'm afraid.

Anyway, welcome to PH. You're in the right place for a MK3 RS bash-fest. I look forward to yet more troll-like content from yourself.

He's not that new, just a different username and given up ranting about soiled huggies.

These cars will have the correct head gasket no doubt as would his if it wasn't a figment of his imagination and it ever went pop.

the sooner they end the production on the mk3 the better, wasted opportunity as initially on paper the mk3 looked good , AWD ~350 bhp. shame how it turned out

They said exactly the same about the MK2.

When it was launched I got one and the people on here claimed it was just a "remapped ST, with a diff, in a pretty dress", "crap compared to a Megane RS", "not as special as a MK1" and other nonsense.

Today decent MK2 RS' with decent mileage are still £20k+ (I only paid £24k for mine with 10 miles on the clock), meanwhile Megane RS', Civic Type R's etc in similar condition and mileage are half the value of the Focus and will continue to fall until they are worth £1,500!

My prediction is that a decent, well specced MK3 will never drop below £18-20k, much the same as the MK2 didn't. Also like the MK2, I predict that it will start to appreciate in around 5-6 years when all the latest hot hatches are DSG cars smile

Have you driven one? What didn't you like? The reviews were overwhelmingly very positive. Great cars.

Yeah, i'll be honest, i don't get such comments with sweeping hatred for the MK3 RS. I understand that some may not like them but that, to me, is just going completely overboard.

I was blown away from simply a passenger ride in one at Anglesey. It had the MP375 kit on it and felt a good deal faster and more capable than the 997 Carrera S i was driving around there!

I've seen people advertising they have a deposit on these and are selling the slot they have weeks ago. Scum IMO

I agree.

There's a woman on the owners Forum that has 3 MK3 RS' and a couple of other old Fast Ford's. Surely Ford should be aware of such people and offer them first refusal on these type of cars.

If they ever hit the market I bet they'll be £50-60k and will sell!!

I don't like the idea of people selling their build slots for huge fees but equally I don't understand your logic of Ford giving first refusal to someone who already has three RS?

Isn't that exactly the sort of behaviour that everyone on here lambasts Porsche for? Given that this model offers nothing other than paint that you couldn't acquire in the normal mode, it feels just like a special 'Focus RS Investment Edition' rather than the everyman performance hot hatch that the RS was on launch.

To be honest, isn't this all a bit crazy?

All Ford have done is paint it Orange - in what other way is this a homage to anything - they really are taking the piss out of their customers.

I'm sure it will be the usual Grade A Ford investment, but its actually quite sad that this is what its come to - and yet the fans lap it up!

Maybe I'm missing something - perhaps the "RS500" badge helped with the Mark 2, but is this new one really that special, other than the 50 car limit?
