What do you all think of this? I personally think it looks absolutely dull and generic

Dull and generic? So just like the last couple of Focii shapes.

The first was something different. Still boring though. Everything since has been the same with more creases.

Only interesting Ford's are all US based now Australia stopped making the Falcon (GT, Mustang, Raptor).

I can't even think of an interesting Euro Ford made in the last 30 years.

Exactly, like pretty much every modern car. The MK1 was something absolutely groundbreaking, the MK2 was still a fresh nicely styled car, the MK3 could be mistaken for any Hyundai, Kia, Vauxhall on the roads.

Looks like a 1-series imho ... it’ll sell by the bucket loads though as focus’ do

a big improvement of the unbalanced design of the last one, nothing very exciting, vastly better than the ultra dull new a class

The mk2 was terribly boring on release, only got interesting when the ST came out, then was significantly improved with the mid life facelift and RS model.

The original mk2 cooking version was a big flop for me.

This new one looks like a development of the current design. If you told me it was a Mazda or Toyota or daewoo I'd be nine the wiser though.

From that 1 photo I think it looks better than the current focus.
Looks less squished.

I'm disappointed. I was hoping the new Focus would look like something in between a Zonda and an Aventador. Ford have really let themselves down with this sensible hatchback design.

I thought the same at first glance, generic is what the majority will want.
As you say, will sell well.

I'm sure I read that the American version of the Focus was going to be different to the European version (as their mk2 was).

Looks fine to me. I know it hasn't got gullwing doors or is shaped like a Saturn V rocket, but providing Ford don't mess with the handling I'm sure I'll be considering one in a couple of years.

You’re not alone, I see this too. With a little dash of BMW thrown in courtesy of the Hoffmeister Kink.
Looks better than the current one IMO, which in anything except Zetec S/ST/RS trim looks a bit crap

Cars really do all look the same now. If you look at it from a different angle it could be that smaller merc (whatyoumacallit)/ BMW 1 Series/ Volvo V40/ Kia thingmyjig.

Yupp, i'll agree with that.

I can see a fair bit of MK8 Fiesta incorporated into that too, which is probably to be expected really.

I think it looks good and I am looking forward to the ST. As with the fiesta, I do wish they would drop the Panty-Line models and bring back the Zetec-S.

Would like to see a few more photos, the last one wasn't great but better with face lift.

Hopefully it's better than the new Fiesta, I've seen a few around and it's probably the blandest brand new car I've ever seen.
