I thought the mk2 Ka was based on the Fiat 500 not the Fiesta?
It is, I meant the styling of it.

2nd Gen Hyundai Coupe was a mess.

3rd Gen MR2 wasn't too hot either, it looked like a Porsche Boxster drawn by an 8 year old from a verbal description given by someone who saw a Boxster drive past them at 90mph a week beforehand. In the rain. And it was dark. Possibly foggy, I'm undecided on that.

Mk3 Golf - dull
Have to disagree on the MR2. The original Boxster was a proper minger, the MR2 wasn't. I know which one is ageing more gracefully

Seat killed themselves with the monobox Leon/Altea/AlteaXL - everyone will be driving a monobox! The Leon went from respected to WTF.

Any car with one of these pads on the dash. It's another no from me, bad luck.

I agree totally with this, when our car was being repaired by insurance, the loan car was a Mercedes A something or other.

For what a lot of people see as a premium brand, the pad looked like someone had taken a £30 Chinese tablet, and nailed it on top of the dash, it didn't fit in with the rest of the car at all, I'll happily keep our integrated Skoda system.

Yep, the original Ka was great, the shrink-wrapped melted Fiesta that was the replacement wasn't. To make it worse, after the mk2, they show the Start concept car, which is absolutely a modernised original Ka, and don't build it. bds hehe

I'd not seen that concept before now.

To me that is a very good looking small car.

Is it just me that sees a lot of Vauxhall Adam in that design.

I see one of those Chrysler/Lancia Ypsilon things. Horrid cars.

Nope not just you, I thought exactly the same before I scrolled down and saw your comment.

Are you serious? The new one is very similar to the last one, and the interior is a massive upgrade.

It's one of the only small cars that I'd consider at the moment, when the ST version is out anyway.
Take the badge off and it could be any Korean car. If having an etch a sketch is an upgrade, fill your boots. White goods.

The Americans had a habit of uglyfying cars with the extra bumpers frown

Bigger nose as well

Why does the R56 need 7 different air intakes?

Complete minger

A bit disingenuous posting the top models against Mr Bean's Mini. Try this...

It is a bit like buying an iPhone and complaining you can't eat it. biggrin

That doesn't change the fact that the current iteration is fecking ugly, though.

People have been cleverly pointing out that the new mini is bigger than the original for 17 years now! That’s half my lifetime!
