I admire them for doing something different when most manufacturers are just churning out standard eco boxes.
I'm not saying I'd buy one personally but I'm sure a lot of people will.
How different is it though really - isn't it just an Audi Q3/Skoda Kodiak/VW Tiguan in a different frock with a lairy engine? I'm not saying I'd buy one personally but I'm sure a lot of people will.
I really can't see the point - Zafira VXRs didn't sell too well, but at least they had more seats even if 2 of them were on the small side!

Have you had any issues with the Nav not starting up intermittently?
There is apparently a fix for this, I’ve experienced it since I got my Golf R estate. It was supposed to be in the dealer today, but my wife managed to crash it on the way to the garage, so unfortunately I can’t let you know the outcome!Mr Tidy said:

That's what might stop me buying an Ateca.. It just strikes me as a car to fill a gap in the VAG portfolio but it wasn't allowed to have all the style of the Tiguan. That said, I'm on my 4th Ibiza now and I quite like them - the Leon is a fantastic car too.
the Spanish market may have some very good reasons for launching the Cupra range in this particular way, with this particular brand identity, and so on
some of the disapproval voiced in this thread might be best addressed by somebody from SEAT or even just an ordinary Spaniard petrolhead
some of this may also be more fundamental than cars
for reasons of history and culture, the UK consumer not only expects different things from a brand's self expression (versus consumers in some Continental countries); the UK consumer may also have a more complex and nuanced relationship with brands
