OK. I'm going to persevere for a bit. I really think this could be such a valuable thread. FREE STUFF, what's not to like?! Already some great offers, if not plentiful.
I thought, having seen a list of Renault owners thread. Would it be better as a thread format where members add items as they become free, and remove when/if someone's adopted them? Maybe list split by regions?

I've got loads I can't shift.
Turbo off a 1.4HDI
Box of new inopened Rear Discs & Pads for a ~2000MY 1.8 S40.
Box of new (when opened) Front Discs & Pads for something like a 2008MY Focus
Factory tinted O/S tinted windows for an E70 X5
Also have a small box of random brand new VW Parts that were going to get chucked when I worked at a VW Garage.
All stuff that people never want to buy unless you post it, which is just more hassle than it's worth. I'm in the Bath area, if anyone wants to make room in my garage.

Great thread - I've a 2003 1.9TDI VW Passat - anything suitable that you would be prepared to post (at my expense obviously!) or able to post as you might be talking body parts and not engine/maintenance spares. All stuff that people never want to buy unless you post it, which is just more hassle than it's worth. This is the idea entirely. One I had a while back, a wing mirror for a 2003 Kangoo, which I sold last year before fitting it. It cost me £30, but why would I want to eBay it, get 99p, and probably a none received case opened. Would have been worth £40 to the right person, I chucked it. Anyone any thoughts on if a directory system would be easier than having to scroll through posts?

I've definitely got a plastic lower radiator elbow thing off a 1.9 TDI of that vintage. It is a £40+ part that someone ordered and never picked up, and we couldn't return. I only saved them from the bin for the sake of the environment (in my head, anyway). One other bit is a new airbag cover off a skoda something or other. I'll have a poke around and put some part numbers up. Hazuki said:
I think the only issue with this topic is the way items are to be tracked as sold, who to etc. I can see this having hundreds of replies (probably doubled with people confirming availability)
What the previous poster raised regarding restarting the topic as a Wiki sounds like a good way to avoid this perhaps?
This is pretty much what I thought. If it grew to a workable/ useful size then there'd be a lot of posts to trawl though. Someone sees something they could home, then has to trawl through another 10 pages to see if anyone's taken it. They ask to have it, to be told someone else has, as they missed that one post! I saw the Wiki suggestion, and having no clue how Wiki works I wasn't sure if a serious comment. Could anyone with any more knowledge interject and offer ideas/ do any required leg work?
I also think breaking down by areas shall massively help. Not county by county, but say for EG 'East Midlands' 'Home Counties' etc.

I am unsure of how it works myself but I’m not talking about an external wiki page, it’s one of the options when starting a new thread. I had a look but being on mobile it didn’t look too different I saw the Wiki suggestion, and having no clue how Wiki works I wasn't sure if a serious comment.
