I've been thinking about getting one to replace my MR2 turbo, which is now more than a bit modified. I'm just thinking to myself maybe I don't need something this fast and tricky on the limit to enjoy on track.
The GT86 weighs about the same, I'd probably miss the old school turbo delivery but honestly I feel like the MR2 is a bit of a blunt instrument and I'd learn more driving the GT86 on track. Plus the fact you can fit a set of wheels in the back of the 86.
Having previously owned a mr2 rev 3 turbo (with plenty of modifications too) and now a gt86 you will find the gt86 much easier to drive well on track. Depends on your ability but for me at least I can use way more of the performance from the gt86 meaning my lap times around most circuits are similar even with a similar weight car and 100bhp less. And it's more fun to drive a slower car fast than a fast car slower. And the GT86 bashing goes on. I’ve had two years of fun with the 86 as a weekend toy and holidays car and if it wasn’t for the fact I’m now struggling to get in and out, due to old age, the wrong side of 60 and back issues, I would have kept it. Someone mentioned Sunbeam Lotus in an earlier post, funny thing is I sold my Sunbeam to by the GT86.
The replacement for the 86 will be a Mustang GT, it so much easier to get in and out. It would be a strange old world if we all liked the same stuff..

Surely a GT86 buyer would never order parking sensors. Unless she's in her 90s and practically blind
Rear visibility isn't fantastic when parallel parking, so i can see why people get parking sensors.GadgeS3C said:
