According to the customer it also had a new clutch fitted not very long ago which isn't documented.

We have no V5 registration document but the car is currently showing as taxed so a V62 form will need to be completed by the next owner.

PLEASE NOTE - This is a PART EXCHANGE TO CLEAR vehicle which has NOT BEEN MECHANICALLY CHECKED or inspected in any way therefore will be supplied on a SOLD AS SEEN BASIS with NO WARRANTY GIVEN or implied.

What can we tell you about our short time with the car? Its starts, its runs and it drives.

Typically there are a myriad of different warning lights that intermittently show on the dash board whenever it is started.

Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Nearside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))
Nearside Play in steering rack inner joint(s) ()
12 year old Citroen with the above?

Worth £500 IMHO.

bmw 523 £500 , t reg , 104 k , mot until march .

Picking it up sat afternoon .

Not sure how long i'll keep it though .

We've been talking about getting a bigger car as we've been to a few races where we can't really fit people in the back plus i wantsomething more comfy , however work is now on street parking so if having the bigger car is a pain in the ass it'll go .

If all goes to plan I should be picking up a Skoda Octavia VRS next Tuesday.

2004 car with genuine 84k miles.

A mere £995.

Fingers crossed.......

You should consider my old one that I part exchanged recently.

I spent about £5k on it over a 5 year period (everything documented)

Somerset to Wakefield is quite a trek !

I only bid on that bmw because i fancied something a bit more comfy and it's only 5 miles away.

99% of the time a hot hatch is the ideal car for me as we have no parking at work so i can squeeze into some tiny gaps near to work but every now and then it would be good to have a bit more room in the back sat when we go to races etc.

So. I didn’t get the VRS.

Turned into something of a Dutch auction & eventually got sold, not to me, for around £1400.00.......

Annoyed. Much.

So the search for a decent inexpensive car to replace my hateful E46 continues.

MOT until Feb 2020

Cheapest V8 on AT?

They've dropped it £400 in the last month about £100 a week, so you could probably offer them £1k?

Yes, I've been watching it. I'm a bit nervous that I'll just end up with a lump on the drive that can't move after a month.

That's appealing at shed money. Would it be a foolish take on by someone that would do no work on it themselves?

The MOT history makes for sobering reading.

Based on that, I'd offer £500 top.

Just saved this 65,000 mile 2007 C1 from going to the breakers.

It wouldn't start and the rear bumper was hanging off.

I gave £150 for the car. Pushed it down the street and it bump started and ran nicely.

A new bumper bracket was £8.50 and a second hand starter motor was £20.

Oil filter, air filter and three plugs cost £19.50 and I had the required 3.2 litres of oil in the garage.

Total cost £198.

Drives well, does 55 to the gallon and the car tax is £20.

It has a few scuffs and marks and the lacquer is peeling from the front bumper, but it's quite presentable.

Dunno whether to try to sell it for £600 or just keep it as a spare car.

smile

Yep, same chain driven petrol engine as the Toyota Yaris? If so, should be reliable enough, if not particularly quick. Although I understand that having a 3 cylinder engine that you have to cane everywhere to make progress is fun smile

Hm. Could it last until MOT (next year)?
