Typical Factory launch spec, looks like they asked the security guards to spec it eek Deadly dull grey with equally deadly dull interior with completely strange chrome window trims, I bet its in stock a long time.
What exactly was "Launch Spec?"

There is one that a guy used to do the school run in my sons class and it does look quite mean in the metal its all black but its not a car i aspire to own
I don't really 'aspire' to own any (modern) car, to be honest. However if I was buying in the new-to-1-year-old market around that price bracket, I would probably consider a 720S. Not sure I can really think of much competition in terms of (as people have mentioned) supercar presence and ballistic performance around that price and that age. Undoubtedly there are a couple of cars, but I certainly would consider the above 720S.

Maybe I am pretty dull, tho. I quite like the exterior colour (the interior is hardly offensive either). I used to say, "If you're gonna have a daft car, have a daft colour", but I think my attitude has changed the older I've got. I don't really need any supercar to be bright green/yellow/orange and attract even more attention than it already will. <oldfart>

After the Senna was presented, visually all other McLarens have gone up in my estimations

I’ve done 20k in my 650, I’ve driven a couple of 720’s, 675LTs, 570’s and 12C’s
The 720 is epically quick BUT IMHO it is the most sterile of the range to drive on the road.
I cancelled my order and am looking for the right spec LT Spider, which is a struggle. If that doesn’t pan out I’ll go for a light weight 570 when it comes out.

Agreed on the 720S ... the one I drove was all tyre roar from the open deck behind you and had half a dozen warning lights lit up on the dash.

It felt like a big fast Lotus Elise to drive and the build quality was on a par with Lotus too.

To be fair Mac are a lot like Lotus.
They do tend to us early adopters to iron out the wrinkles.
My 650 is a lot beter screwed together than the 720 I drove as it is one of hte last off the line.
Lets not loose sight of the fact they have only been mass producing road cars for ~5 years!
