If it makes cars harder to sell that have had an engine rebuild, why do the sellers even mention it then?

Obvious answer would be to not include the receipt in the service folder and sell it without mention?

Engine issues should undoubtedly be a key point of discussion here, but it's a bit of a shame that as a consequence the 987C's myriad merits are being lost sight of.

In that case, is going for a Gen 2 really a better bet? What's the difference in price between a freshly rebuilt engine Gen1 vs a circa 50k miles Gen2?

I was always under the impression that the latter is always much more expensive. Neither will be cheap to run, but given that a recently-rebuilt engine shouldn't really give any serious issues afterwards, is it really worth the jump in price?
