If I wanted newish nostalgia I'd buy this for 1/3 of the price - http://www.romansinternational.com/car/1156/land-r...
Understood - but that car was £34,200.00 NEW and is now being advertised for £55K.
Well perhaps not that exact one, it's carrying the Roman's mark up.
These things are just collectabubbles rather than viable economic motoring alternatives!

Far too expensive for what you are getting obviously.

Land rover should have been offering these from the factory with farmer spec interior and manual gearbox.

AMERICAN V8's suit heavy trucks... it has almost nothing to do with "performance" or "luxury"

Csn you tell me the difference between a yank V8 and a European one?

Anyhow... The traditional route Rover V8 was American and so is this one.

AJ-V8 was designed (and is built) in the UK.

Most (standard) American V8s are understressed and low BMEP - built for the environment in which they are used e.g. long journeys at relatively low steady speeds and high mileages.

European V8s are generally higher revving, higher output engines designed primarily for performance.

And, correct, the original V8 used in LR vehicles - as any fule kno - was a Buick engine.

Appologies, I assumed this vehicle was fitted with the mustang coyote engine.

Not sure I would class the Bentley or Rolls Royce V8s as high revving screamers, but I digress... The V8 can be made to perform well for relatively little outlay, but it's still a working man's engine to me.

I do like it. Do you think this car will depreciate? Or will it hold its value/appreciate?
