Fleet Insurance/Multi Car
Discussion
Hi All,
Apologies if this has been asked before,
I currently have a few cars in my possession, it becomes a pain swapping cars around insurance wise so I can drive others etc.
My question being is there such a thing as private fleet insurance so I could have say 5/6/7 cars all insured under one policy?
I have google'd this and its not that clear from what I can work out as they all ask for company name
Also does anyone have experience with costs etc ?
Lately ive seen a few cars that I’d like to own but insurance swapping is just frustrating.
Thanks all

Been with Clegg Gifford/Tradex on a personal fleet policy for years, never had to claim against it so can't really give any feedback there.

5 vehicles all over 10 years old with 4 drivers fully comp, 3 with class 1 business use, 1 with driving other cars under third party cover. Each drivers personalised cover valid on any of the vehicles on the policy. Legal cover. £250 excess. 1 fault and 3 non-fault claims split amongst 3 drivers declared (repaired our own damage or claimed direct with the third parties insurance company).
Cost around £2300 last renewal.

Pace Ward (broker) do a fleet policy.
Advantage of a lot of family/fleets is that you can buy additional cars and benefit from full no-claims. A bit like NCB mirroring.
I have a policy through Paceward, the cars in my profile plus a Fiat 500, different restrictions, etc., for each car, 2 driver for each (1 driver with perfect record (me), the other disastrous), 1400quid.Advantage of a lot of family/fleets is that you can buy additional cars and benefit from full no-claims. That seems very reasonable and a figure I would be more than happy with, is it easy to add additional cars? The key is to have much less drivers than cars.
Then, in theory, they could rate the drivers on the highest group car and rate for vandalism, fire and theft on the others.
With the driver/vehicle ratio and the correct fleet makeup then it's win/win for underwriter and client.
If the number of drivers is close to the number of cars then there is scant saving to be made.

That's good... there would be myself and my wife.. and ive got 5 cars now but would like the option of adding another one possibly Then, in theory, they could rate the drivers on the highest group car and rate for vandalism, fire and theft on the others.
