There is little or no discernable effort to appeal to the hard core Land Rover market
Nope. These are for people who like to walk home now and again, not all the time. It is interesting jeep seem to be looking at the blue collar/ enthusiast market and land rover the my husband earns more than yours brigade, orange scaffolders wives type folk with a car for most PCP budgets ...

Having never heard of the wagoneer before I did some research, which to say I checked the PH classifieds.
Apparently four out of five wagoneers are for sale in Texas, the fifth purports to be in Canada but a click on the link reveals that it's actually up for sale in Florida. For a go anywhere car it doesn't seem to travel very far, which is a shame.
Wagoneers are great. They survive better in the southern states as the winters in the northern part of the US are brutal and the road salt is a killer for rust. Check out this Wagoneer restorer based in Texas. Similar kind of operation to classic car restorers in the UK like Bishops Heritage who specialise in classic Range Rovers.
