This has been a nonsensical thread from the get go.

BWWWWWAAAAAAAAH, WHY DON'T THAY WANT TO GIVE ME THEIR MONEY TO LET ME BUY THEIR CAR THAT I'M TOTALLY ENTITLED TOOOOOOOOOO, MUUUUUMMYYY! UNRESTRICTED ACCESS TO CHEAP CREDIT IS MY HUMAYNE RIGHT!!!!!
It wasn't that though. It was why is my credit score at the level it is and how do I improve it so I can finance an M3. Perfectly reasonable.
It wasn't as blatantly phrased in the OP but it was all about that as it turned out later.
For the record I think it’s perfectly reasonable if they have knocked me back for couple of piddly small late payments to a credit card which I was just complacent with & also the high utilisation thing actually making me look like I was living on the limit or something then yes it’s my own fault and I should have set up direct debit for that card and not been an idiot.

Also fair play about the lots of recent activity thing but some of that is the fault of one of the bmw retail units missing a sales handover on another car otherwise I wouldn’t been applying again.

I don’t think it’s my ‘humayne right’ or whatever it is the guy who talks strangely on here says it’s just surprising as I’ve had a very good record with credit acceptance in the past.

Well this has descended into completely unnecessary nonsense as usual.

It would be quicker if rather than asking any questions or topics, people just put up an insult and waited for a response.

Another insult for no reason I’m getting bored responding to this stuff so I’ll just post this for you:

https://www.samaritans.org

I came here looking for advice I think I should’ve brought my couch and charged a fee.
A) if you're so good at looking up why don't you start from looking up "basics of punctuation"
B) by your own admission you know that you're riding on a limit and that you've been doing things that would have impacted your score - both are reflected in your credit rating so no surprises there
C) you came here looking for an answer on how to game the system
D) I for one am quite pleased to see that credit score rating seems to work pretty fine cherry picking those who can't stop helping themselves to another pointless purchase using money they don't have.

So someone borrowing a tiny bit of their mortgage affordability to buy a cheap house is more of a risk than someone who rents their home?
Less of a case of risk I’d imagine it’s more of an immediate case of equity on offer to the lender.
You’re talking a load of bks and you know it.

The only security is in the vehicle itself regardless of the value of any other assets.
Yeah hence why it’s called a Hire Purchase agreement the finance company own the car until the last payment is paid & that’s the security so if that gimp did work in finance it’s no wonder he can’t afford an M3 or a 911 cos he must been st at his job to not understand that as even the great unwashed members of society like me can grasp that one.

No but seriously, banter and such is all good but it's time to get serious for a second - have you thought of taking a bus instead of driving cars you can't afford?
Thanks for the advice but in all honesty I prefer to rent them super saloons & iconic sports cars are a bit like your mother she’s more fun just for the night you don’t want saddled up with the bh long term.

Have a nice night now.

I know a good place that can help you with your issues, it's called "primary school".

PS they will only be able to help you with your punctuation, they won't be able to help with brain damage.
Yeah that’s fine I’ll go back to primary school with my 911 and your mothers knickers strapped across the Gear stick but why don’t you answer his question so we can get a laugh at you.

Hire purchase is not limited to asset.
Indeed - but when they’ve defaulted and you’ve repossessed the car what next when they own absolutely fk all else versus owning a lower value house with at least a tiny bit of equity?
Sorry are you agreeing with me?
You still haven’t explained why someone with a low equity mortgage is a higher risk than a renter with fk all assets (I know LOADS of people who rent their home and have access to £50k cars on PCP)
Cos he’s a prick like the rest of them.

My refusal is purely based on my stty 760 score for being a bit complacent with a credit card, plus high recent activity and on paper high utilisation and finally possibly being also hurt by already existing high levels in debt with the porker which the credit models aren’t seeing will be settled and the M3 to replace.

When it goes back up into the good/excellent category I’ll get accesss to premium credit products of which the bmw finance deal is one.

Now I know you might want to know how do I know that you're a dreamer. Lol my Amex card doesn’t have a limit for the record not that it matters I’ve always had good credit & I’ll get there again but as I said before you’ll always be an ahole and I’ll console myself with the noise of the 997 when I floor it you enjoy the the sound of the conductor asking for your ticket fanboy

Yeah fair point mate & I wasn’t trying to sound smug saying the bmw finance was a premium product but it kinda sits in a market of good/excellent credit scores for 30-40k loans etc so mines is 760 and I’m right in the middle and can’t get it so it’s not a middle of the road finance package it’s a premium product

DELETED: Comment made by a member who's account has been deleted.
I couldn’t afford an old school 911 I doubt many apart from the average PH member could classic air cooled is through the roof as everyone knows.

I feel the 997.2 without PSE is a little tame at lower engine speeds really need to open it up to feel like the car is special. I could mod the exhaust but watching a few YouTube’s and reading some reviews it’s only a minor improvement.

I considered an M4 competition pack and had an extended test drive in one at the time I bought the Porsche I was approved finance for that vehicle I just really wanted to scratch the Porsche itch and I don’t regret but in hindsight wish I stuck with Munich’s finest it’s just what I know I’m just a big Bmw fanboy I’ll admit that Porsche is cracking car in many ways the beemer will never be tho but we like what we like as car guys.

At least I thot that was what being a petrol head was about until I came here.

"conductor" where the fk do you live? 1960's? It's all about DOO in 2018.

I know you'll get back into 900's I root for you. What you could do to get your credit score back out of the "look at me I'm a peasant" level is get yourself an interim car that is more up your street and - judging by the style of writing - class. Something like a face lifted Dacia Duster would suit you perfectly and is allegedly an amazing car, a sort of premium product for cash poor sub prime customers, like yourself.
I’ve not been on a bus since the 1960s but clearly you have so that solves that mystery.

And nah I’ll just drive my 911 till then and think about you...........

Tbh I never disputed that, I posted once on this thread about a deal applied leasing are offering, 718 a month 3+23 8k per annum personal lease.

A brand new M3 will lose a lot more than 18k over 2 years!
Yeah that’s an awesome deal.

I was quoted £749 over 4 years with 2k in from me & 5k dealer deposit cant remember the balloon I’m sure other owners who’ve got it on the road could confirm average Bmw select prices.

Agreed

OP I’d pack up and move on. Sadly you made the understandable mistake of thinking that the UK’s largest car community might a) show an interest in buying cars and b) behave like a community.

Instead you suffered the standard P H reaction to the vast majority of finance threads including the standard lectures on the state of the nation, belittling one’s income, being told what you should buy etc etc

Take solace in the fact that your thread has attracted some of the most utterly knob like behaviour exhibited on such a topic for quite some while.
Yeah well I’m genuinely sorry to the decent members of the community for the hornets I kicked over I really didn’t know, I hope I haven’t offended anyone who was genuine with me. The tone of the insults just got my back up at one point and I was firing back but I see it for how sad it actually is now and I think lot of them are just full of it acting like children talking big st.

Hey bro, I realise that might be your culture, but in order to save you time and effort I thought I'll give you quick heads up - I'm not into men, and especially not into men that smell of formaldehyde. So please don't masturbate thinking of me. As for my mum, I think you might be losing it due to old age but I've covered that subject two posts earlier. Dementia ain't fun.

And do top up that propane tank, Easter is supposed to be really cold (no joke, it's a friendly warning).

Anyway back on topic.. apologies if this has been mentioned but have just scanned the thread and may have missed it. OP..have you asked the Dealer if they can get your finance via a different provider? I know someone who works for BMW and they can often get deals from other lenders if you don't qualify for BMW Finance. Obviously the rates may not be as attractive and payments slightly higher, but may get the sollution you are looking for if the figures are not too scarythumbup
No go black balled by black horse, bmw finance and my own Clydesdale asset that I have on the Porsche no contra deal to trade it for a similar value f80 M3 so yeah it’s fair enough some silly complacent missed payments on a diddy balance being the big thing it’s my fault but as others have said anyway potentially done me a favour on the big depreciating asset I’ll save up for big deposit on secondhand 1 and credit will sort itself by then it’s not like I’ve defaulted or got CCJ or any permanent damage

I think it between all the personal comments of ‘look at me I’m a peasant with my peasant credit score and drive something you can afford bro’ & who could forget the classic age related & irresponsible digs I kinda forget what one prompted me to bring the cliche insult of your mother into the discussion.

Yeah that sounds a good bet, again scanning the thread I agree the current finance climate is much tougher than even a few years ago, and unfortunately your self employed status and the industry in which you specialise in are factors which are not helping in that climate either. Anyway good luck with whatever you decide and ignore the "pissing up the wall highest" brigade and obvious nutters and misfits like 8V085 that crop up. Oh and one final point, just in case my BMW employed friend is reading this...you're buying the wrong car...Audi RS3 is what you want...hope you don't mind the private joke at your expense smile
Lol car banter and discussion is all good with me mate, all have our own taste the world would be a boring place if it was all the same.

Like I said potentially done me a favour I’ll pull the reigns in and sort a few things out and get the standard f80 secondhand rather than the competition pack I fancy sticking a nice M performance exhaust on the standard car anyway to beef up it’s only real world problem again they keep ruining perfectly good cars for emissions so dissapointing
