Until you actually drive the Turbo, its difficulty to comprehend just how fast it is, and not just in a straight line, which is brutal. It's not just quick for a SUV, its quick full stop. And yet, like the SVR, you can put a family, dog and suitcases in one and pop off to the south of France in it.

Which won't see which way an audi S4 wentI think you’re underestimating how fast a Cayenne Turbo is.

The car you see owned by all the successful boxing gym owners and builders. Looks truly awful in that paint scheme, it'd be an FFRR for me.
So what you are saying is you are superior to other successful people?DonkeyApple said:
Well you would, just that when it turned off to the council estate you’d be carrying on elsewhere.

I got roasted by one on the motorway in my 2016 NotImpreza STI :S Even worse - twas a first generation Turbo (the in gear acceleration of the Cayenne Turbo is immense - or I'm a crap driver: both are possible). On a more serious note, anyone who’s driven a cayenne Turbo would be well aware that it is in a genuinely different league of performance to an S4.

Basically, a very lovely car, but not one purchased by people who possess one or both of intelligence or a love of motorsport.
In general I'm sure you're right, but there must be a few SVR owners on PH. I love motorsport, am considered by others to be not completely thick, and I love this car. If I could afford one and had the need, I'd probably get an E63S estate, but if I were a billionaire I'd definitely have one. How else could I look super bad-arse like a moderately successful drug dealer?! In all seriousness though, I think I love this car more in theory than in practice - I can deal with faults on a sunny summer sunday Ferrari but not on my daily driver, and RR's reliability record is shocking even for new cars.

Of course, you are absolutely correct yet PH just like anywhere else includes people who find it impossible to think for themselves and trot out every cliche they've been told as though it were fact. Having secretly admired these cars I finally succumbed and collect my new SVR next week. It had to have the towbar option because I need the tow my Caterham to track days. The little boy in me can't wait to hear the car accelerate and pop and bang on the overrun.

This sort of drivel should be available as cut and paste on every LR thread.I feel sorry for the aristocracy losing there cars like that , oh well chaps lucky you have the forester and the legacy .....
It always seems to conveniently forget the following:
1 - Led by the LR part JLR are delivering record sales and profits internationally
2 - all models are available in a whole range of trims, colours, wheel sizes etc and that bling is entirely optional
3 - there is a new Defender on the way

As you know I am a committed and long time LR owner.
You didn’t answer by the way, do you like the SVR ?
