It's the consumer that thinks it looks good. blame them.
Who are these cretins that think that kind of scensoredt is a good look? I think I first noticed it on VAG offerings - Audi rotors for example that look passably decent in silver but gopping when the inside faces are painted black. These days it seems anything from white goods offerings such as Kia and Nissan up to luxury manufacturers such as Bentley are getting in on this fcensoredkery. It needs to stop.

I quite like the new Micra, they couldve sold it under the pulsar name and i would've believed it

And indeed quite a shame that the engine options are rather uninteresting, maybe NISMO can get their hands on it and make something interesting out of it?

It's been out for a year, its also not a Micra any more, the old Micra was a small car this is not. It's based on the Clio, they have ditched the Pulsar now as this was too close to it. Sales are somewhat down compared to the outgoing model.

Essentially Nicole got a bit fat in her old age & remarried.

looks like a fiesta st. Surely they'll alienate the people that want a nissan micra type car. eg old people and women. What will they buy now?

I wasn't convinced by the pics when it was launched but having seen a few on the road now and having a good close look at an orange one in Tesco car park, I like them.

They could do, but I doubt that they will. It's certainly a sharper, better looking car than that awfully bland Pulsar they sell now.

Nissan's Micra has been, for all it's life a dull, blobby, frankly rather horrible little thing.
No it hasn't. I would say the K11 Micra, that ran from around 1993-2002, was an iconic car. Certainly one of my all time favourite vehicles.

This. And as it's now a renault clio (just like an A class),it'll go wrong just like those. Had a 200 mile old Clio hire car, that kept turning its radio on of it's own accord, whether it was running or not. Switched off, locked, whatever. I digress, the old late eighties micra's were pretty bombproof and difficult to kill. And just for balance, i actually like clio's, i bought one once.

I had one as a hire car a couple of weeks ago. I was gutted when they said they were delivering a micra for my 120 mile one way journey.

However, I was wrong. For a little town can it’s absolutely spot on. It even sat comfortable on the motorway at 80

It had all the options too, sat nav, reverse camera, cruise control and more that I didn’t explore. It gets a thumbs up from me.
Good to hear. I was given the option of a C3 or a Micra a few weeks ago when I collected my hire car; was hoping for a 500 as I love driving those little things. Didn't feel inspired by either choices but ended up with the C3 and was pleasantly surprised by it - only down side was the ridiculously high biting point of the clutch in 1st and the lack of grunt to try and avoid this by pulling away in 2nd. Plenty of kit on it to like Apple Carplay and speed-limit monitoring. was impressed/10.

Awkward angles going in every direction. Looks like it was designed by someone who had aspirations of working for Lexus but was turned down and can't let it go.

Should have called it something else

I bet a proper Micra, plain / boring / dependable cockroach of a car, would still sell very well.

Think this sums it up. The car is an utter mess of angles and creases and what not. Pretty sure if you handed it for criticism to a panel of lecturers teaching automotive design at a university they would grade it between a C- and an F. I am talking technical execution of the design, not whether one likes it (that is a matter of taste).

Add on top the ridiculous prices they are charging for it why would anyone buy this over a Polo or a Fiesta?

Loved the old Micras from the 90s and the predecessor to the current one, proper solid no frills motoring for the unpretentious buyer.

They were originally designed so that Grandma and Grandpa could just step inside and drive off and then get out again without a hoist.

I learnt to drive in one and to this day I still hate the fact that the indicators were on the wrong side.
